Hi guys just saw the game, I'd like to share some observations on some of the players involved in the NT and U23 team. I'm not too familiar with the African players but I'd go on record that that Izzedin el Habbib(number 10) is heads over the rest of the players skill wise, not because of his goal but just by watching him moving throughout the game, very smooth.
KAYA: Nate Burkey looks stiff and unforceful considering he was in an attacking mid position.
Lexton Moy, is very fast, active and talks to his teammates throughout the game. He was listed at LB but in the game played RB. He gets knocked around because of his small size but gets up and goes again.
Jason Sabio started out at CB and was curiously defenseless in the first 40 minutes or so, could it be that he is still gaining his match fitness? He was caught in some bad spots early that was worrisome for his team. In the latter part of the game he was more effective and looks like he moved to mid by the end of the match. He seems to be quick on his feet and very versatile.
#15 Japanese last name with long hair, I believe he played mid also. Very good with his ball handling and passes. Plays quality soccer, I like him.
GLOBAL: Bahadoran, what can I say? This kid is fast with quick feet, he needs more playing time with the Azkals. He had a quality game and a threat in an open field.
D. Basa, he's capped with the senior Azkals in 2010. He looks like he got more muscular. Not fast but will defend. Good U23 addition on Left Back(he played LB in the game).
G. Pavone didn't play too long, so I cant judge his game. looks like he gained weight from last time he was here.
P. Pascual for the short 20 minutes he was on the pitch, he had a presence and poise of a good player, though the red card he received was a bone head play if I might say so. His replacement played very well though.
Yoshide? #93, the new player signed a few days ago by Global. Wow, he has a very good feel for the game with nice passes similar to #15 of Kaya. This guy is very steady throughout the game. If you are a Global fan, watch 93 the Japanese journeyman. He will be involved in alot of goals made this season. I'm excited about this guy because he brings veteran maturity and excellent skill to the UFL. Global is poised to be a powerhouse in the league this season. They've made very educated additions.

Global FC wins opener in benefit games, takes on Azkals nextBy Alder Almo (philstar.com) Updated September 19, 2011 07:43 PM MANILA, Philippines – Global Smartmatic scored a 1-nil victory against Kaya Cignal at the start of the I Can Serve Football Invitational Games today at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium. Sudanese Izzeldin El-habbib scored on an early goal to power the Global Smartmatic to the opening day win in the charity invitationals backed by LBC and Sun Life Insurance that served as a kick-off to Breast Cancer Awareness Month this coming October. El-habbib, the top scorer in the last UFL season, eluded Kaya’s defense and took advantage with a long goal, four minutes into the match. Kaya found an opening to equalize when Global’s goal keeper Paolo del Rosario was sent off after a hand ball outside the penalty box on Ivory Coast native Eric Dragoh’s attempt midway in the first half. But Kaya, behind the efforts of Dagroh and Philippine Azkals’ Nate Burkey and Jason Sabio, failed on several chances to equalize as Global hung tough with key defensive stops. Global will challenge the Philippine Azkals on Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the same venue. Kaya will take its turn against the national team on Saturday. Breast Cancer survivor and actress Maritoni Fernandez kicked off the event as the guest of honor with ticket proceeds of the three-day invitationals going to I Can Serve Foundation, which helps spread awareness and fight breast cancer. Tickets to the charity games, which are pegged at P300 (lower box), P150 (upper grandstand), P75 (center bleachers) and P50 (side bleachers), are available at Mizuno branches in Bonifacio High Street, Mall of Asia, Alabang Town Center and SM Megamall, select LBC branches and at the venue. All games are telecast on the same day at 5 p.m. on AKTV on IBC. www.philstar.com/SportsArticle.aspx?articleId=728971&publicationSubCategoryId=200

Tweet from Dan Palami, (concerning PPascuals red card and past U19 players [not Maor Rozens U19]): it's a charity game so cards don't carry over to next matches... there are former U19. players in the U23 right now as well
following the tweet, Manny Ott is the most accomplished U19er from the AFC U19 team from a year or 2 back.

Global FC edges Kaya FC in ‘I Can Serve Invitational’By Cedelf P. Tupas Philippine Daily Inquirer 11:05 am | Tuesday, September 20th, 2011 MANILA—Ten-man Global FC nipped Kaya FC, 1-0, in a battle of United Football League powerhouse sides Monday at the start of the “I Can Serve Invitational” at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila. Izo El-Habbib struck in the fifth minute and Global, the reigning UFL Cup champion, defended doggedly to survive the dismissal of goalkeeper Paolo Pascual midway in the first half. El-Habbib, with plenty of time and space just outside the box, fired into an empty net after Saba Garamoundi was caught off his line. Pascual was sent off for handling the ball outside the area when he foiled Eric Dagroh’s attempt in the 19th minute. But Kaya couldn’t capitalize on its advantage as it lacked the quality to finish on the attacking third. Global faces the Philippine Azkals on Wednesday on the second day of the three-team tournament that will benefit the I Can Serve Foundation, a group promoting breast cancer awareness. The Azkals play Kaya in the final match of the tournament on Saturday. Kaya missed skipper Aly Borromeo and Anton del Rosario, who was sidelined by a miniscus injury. But they offered plenty of attacking threat in Dagroh and Nate Burkey, who had a stinging shot headed off the line by Global defender Valentine Kama in the 81st minute. Kaya midfielder Eddie Mallari also forced a a diving save on Global substitute keeper Raymond Regencia in the 41st minute, before Burkey’s shot from just outside the box sailed over the bar. El-Habbib and Misagh Bahadoran blew golden chances to add to Global’s tally in the second half. El-Habbib took too long to shoot after blowing past the Kaya defense, while Bahadoran was denied by Garamoundi from close range in the 67th minute, “This is a good preparation for us as we defend the UFL Cup,” said Global manager Dan Palami. “We’re not at our best yet, but we are happy to get that result despite playing with 10 men.” sports.inquirer.net/17129/global-fc-edges-kaya-fc-in-i-can-serve-invitational
