Hopefully more home games to come this year for the Azkals especially here at Rizal Memorial Stadium...

THE Philippines’ Team Azkals may play again in Bacolod City in June, Bacolod City councilor Caesar Distrito said.
Distrito said he learned of this from Philippine Football Federation (PFF) president Mariano Araneta and PFF local organizing committee head Red Avelino.
Greet your loved ones this Valentine season.
The two PFF officials, Distrito said, informed him about this possibility shortly after the Azkals' victory over Mongolia during the first game of their 2012 Asian Football Confederation Challenge Cup qualifying match at the Panaad Stadium Wednesday.
Another victory over the Mongolia Blue Wolves during their second battle at Ulan Bator on March 15 will carry the Azkals to a clash with either Bangladesh or Palestine.
"Bacolod will once again be happy to host the next match of the Azkals on June 2011," said Distrito. "We hope the organizers will devise a plan for the proper distribution of tickets, in the event that Bacolod will host the next Azkals' match."
Distrito thanked Philippine Sports Commission chairman Richie Garcia, PFF president Araneta and Negros Occidental Football Association president Charlie Cojuangco for his office's efforts in bringing the match to Bacolod. He also thanked Avelino for the event's success.
The provincial government under Gov. Alfredo Marañon, Jr. helped a lot, especially in preparing the Panaad Sports Stadium for the match, Distrito said. (Carla N. Canet)

Hm, that's odd. I was under the impression that we'd have to go to Bangladesh and duke it out with our group members (provided we beat Mongolia) there, as they are the group hosts.
I remember we hosted a similar group in 2008 in Barotac Nuevo.
I may be mistaken though.

They are referring to the home and away 1st round World Cup qualifying series in June. Bangladesh, Palestine and Myanmar group games is near the end of March if we win or draw Mongolia on March 15.
Since we have a low seed, we will probably be paired against a strong opponent in June and have a more difficult time advancing.

Ah, I forgot about that. You're absolutely right! Well, we'll certainly have to hope for the best.
