This is a video interview of Brian Reid I found on Youtube during his days at Ayr United. This was dated April 2009 and this was done after the team's win against Stirling Albion in the Scottish 2nd Division.

I had a quick conversation with some people at the Scotland board of bigsoccer.com and informed them about the former Ayr United coach Brian Reid, who will now manage Global. They've got some good input about him. www.bigsoccer.com/community/threads/former-ayr-united-manager-brian-reid-moving-to-the-philippines.1980648They said on that thread that Reid is "decent but not great" when he managed Ayr for about five years. He led the team to promotion to the Scottish 1st Division (2nd tier, just below the SPL) twice, but couldn't sustain to stay in that level. Fans there have mixed reactions on his performance so they were happy that he was let go at the end of last season when the team was relegated back to the 2nd Division. However, it seems they are falling apart with their new manager as they are currently at the bottom of the table. I do hope he will redeem himself with managing Global this season. This is a good opportunity for him to experience club football at an international stage. All the best!

IMO, Global should start their U23 players like Pascual, Ochoterena, Altiche, Theuer, Marwin, Marvin and Christiaens against Army in their last fixture of the season to give them some practice in preparation for the SEA GAMES, anyways they have nothing to lose anymore because of the title is already out of their hands. These players deserve to be given a starting spot atleast in their last fixture because they deserve it and they haven't complained even though some of them like Pascual, Ochotorena, Theuer, Altiche and Marvin were benched most of the season. It would be good to see the young talent of Global take the field and show what they can do together

^i have to agree with you. like the other clubs in abroad, every last game of the season they usually field their bench or reserve players just to get some playing time. by the way Altiche and Ochotorena are both 24

The silence and inaction of UFL management about this issue is even more baffling. Sa tingin ko, wala namang ambiguity sa contract, clear as the blue sky na Stallions did not exercise their option to renew the contract.

here's spanish news about Rufo's case " That is why I am studying different options in different leagues. There has been interest from other teams. There also exists an option to return to Spain. But as I have said, my first option is to continue with Global. Dan has shown me his support and he is trusting me during this time. I know they are doing all they possibly can to fix the situation so that I can play with them this season." -Rufo www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1rqs8rhi really feel Rufo, he's been part of the recent development of the league and in the Philippine football in general. he contributed a lot of good things but now he is tangled.

Sayang si Rufo, he brings a lot of experience for the club.

Rufo is heading back to Spain. it's a big loss for the UFL and the Philippine football if he decide to stay there or look for another league
