Hi delfin, good point. I don't know if there are any rules/moderators here but if I may suggest, try to post in English since we have members abroad. Thanks PILIPINO AKO. Karapatan kong gumamit ng pambansang wika.

whoa....
Kaligo and delfindakila , you both entitled to your own opinion. but more often than not, we're just being misunderstood sometimes.
we might as well aim for a win/win solution for this particular concern. let's be considerate enough to be understood by everyone. after all we're azkaleros.
chill....

Karapatan kong gumamit ng pambansang wika. You are on a forum that has members who do not speak Tagalog. They have the right to understand what you are saying. Come to think of it, this issue has little to do with rights. It's common sense. It's politeness. If you insist on speaking Tagalog in a forum that has foreign members, then take your agenda elsewhere instead of alienating everyone and wasting their time. Moreover: Insisting on speaking only Tagalog, proposing a change to the Azkals' name, and saying that the coach should wear a barong do not make you nationalistic. They just make you shallow. They also make you extremely annoying.

I dontr agree with the Barong Tagalog part. You dont see anybody wear that on a sports event. hahahaha Yeah, someone just doesn't get it but perhaps we should explain it for him. ;D Barong Tagalog-- not the polo barong that we see on a daily basis-- is for formal occasions. The western-style shirt and coat is often used at work-- in the office, meetings, not-so-formal occasions. Football matches, no matter the level of competition, are not formal occasions. But following this guy's logic, when the Malditas play a match, their coach (if she's a woman) ought to wear a Baro't Saya-- with matching pamaypay! Wahahaha!

No problems here. I think I was quite respectful when I requested Delfinkandila to post in English... By the way, admin posted this: 5. The use of the English language is ENCOURAGED although not REQUIRED. Let us be mindful of the foreign-based people in the forum but let us also pardon Filipinos who do not have a good command of the language or who can express themselves better in English

you guys heard the buzz, vietnam made an inquiry about coach simon another one, german football federation DFB offered the services of one of their coach, a current U-17 coach of rwanda to the PFF i dont want to get ahead of things or make people worry but coach simon license is not qualified apparently for the AFF challenge cup. he needs an A- license. well i hope the vietnam inquiry is just that ,an inquiry. and maybe the german offer is there to fill in a temporary unavailavibility of coach simon while he tries to upgrade his license. i hope coach simon stays in whatever capacity or maybe i worry too much bleachersbrew.blogspot.com/2010/12/macca-and-hewhomustnotbenamed-december.htmlbleachersbrew.blogspot.com/2010/12/german-to-coach-azkals.html

^ Two points needed for clarification:
1. In what stage of the AFC Challenge Cup does the A-License requirement come into play? 2. Does Norman Fegidero, who coached the 2008 Azkals in the AFC Challenge Cup Qualifiers, have an A-License?

Hm, if someone chooses to post in Filipino I believe they have the right to. Whether what they say is understood or not is a risk the poster would have to take. If a tree falls in a forest, yeah? Besides, I think if anyone would be so rude to post something uncalled for in another language in this forum in the hope to be sly, there are enough of us here who would understand the language to call them out on it.

^ If someone inoffensively asks a poster who posted in Filipino to consider posting in English next time-- the benefit of non-Filipino members--, I think no offence should be taken and there is no need for the poster to issue a condescending reply.
