I seriously hope they hold the game here in Manila.. =) The possibility of the game being held here in Manila than Bacolod seems higher to me, based on what I've seen lately that's happening on the field inside Rizal Memorial...

Bacolod or Manila I support it. I just want the game to be televised so non resident of Bacolod and the Metro can still watch the game.

i know i've already asked this question from one of the posts here..sorry if i have to post it again..besides there's no better way of asking it and i'll be asking the same question anyway so i did not bother reconstructing another long sentence.. "i keep reading articles about how the azkals team set up seemingly would be..that the players are just being called and decided upon whether they'll be representing the nation prior to the event..does this mean that the one's that were present in the recently held suzuki cup will not be always around to represent our country?"

how sad... so do you mean that any of our Phil-foreign players depends on them either they want play...... its better the PFF give more attention our football local league so that we can choose our players who wants to play and not dependent to our Phil-foreign players to achieve the victory.... in other words our phil-foreign players is a guide us to win., as of now we dont have our best midfielder in a team.... so we better to search a good midfielder to contribute a large chances to win....

They'll be around but nothing is constant in team sports, there will always be changes. Some Phil-foreigners, when contacted, felt they need to be with their club than to play for their country. It happened with Neil and the Younghusbands before...

All national team players from all countries at some stage in their career will be involved in the country v club tug o war. I would think all players want to represent their country but their club will always want to be able hold them to play in the league especially if it coming to an important part of the league. The player then gets torn between the two especially if he is trying to establish himself at the club. The club is his bread and butter and the security for his future. Playing for the National team is the cream and also can give him some leverage when he is negotiating a new contract. So if a player says he can't play for the National team there could be extenuating circumstances behind his decision. The Socceroos have several players who have the tug o war most times they are picked for the National team. Tim Cahill being the highest profile player having such problems with his club Everton. One player has begged off from the Asia Cup so that he can establish himself at his new club.

is that so..when the event is done they'll go back to their respective teams..local ones go back to their own local teams and the import will go to their own club in abroad....are the matches of our foreign players in their own respective clubs will be aired?is there a way that we could still see them playing long after they no longer represent our country?how about the local players..i dont see any local soccer competetions being aired..if so where could i see them play?

As of the time of this writing I'm still a go to watch our team live, whether Bacolod or Manila. I do hope it will be held in Rizal though!

Anybody who has been to Rizal recently ? When was last football match there ?
I expect the match to be in Bacolod. PFF is trying to host second match also . The temperature in Mongolia in februay is average minus 15 (celsius), today it was minus 25. Pretty cold for filipinos !
If the second match is played in Philippines, I dont think they will wait until Feb 16 , maybe second match will be played 12. or 13. ?

Sana the PFF would check out the price for the plane fare and hotel accomodations and post it here. Am I asking for the moon? Baka nga. Plane fare would be around 3.5k round trip (?) hotel would depend. Can some Ilonggos post price of the hotels and pension house rates here? I'd say watching both games would cost you 10k up...

Several airlines fly to Bacolod now (which has a brand new airport too) and an alternative would be to take an overnight sea travel via Negros Navigation or some other ship. I've taken a ship to Bacolod before and it's really cheap. It's definitely not for the glamorous though but the upside is you won't have a long land travel to the city, which is the case with the new airport.
