Seems like a curse to me hahaha. But based on my analysis, all our friendly games with Malaysia after the Miracle on Hanoi are winnable and the azkals is dominating the matches.
Move on with Malaysia, playing with Indonesia is more exciting because they have so many trollers 😂😂

Who is the analyst with Bob Guerrero? maybe he knows something we don't know cause he talks like that Malaysian Squad are minnows of SEA football talking like the Azkals can tear that team up.. Malaysian football is equal with our current Azkals so a draw was a good result for a very unprepared squad which played there 1st friendly of the year.. Or maybe he was just disappointed on how the azkals play the same type of football.. Cedelf Tupas was the other analyst, Plus most of the Azkals have only played AFC Cup matches and For Amani,Dennis and Misagh 2 AFC champions league games,Patiño have played yet for Henan Jianye. our league haven't started yet while the Malaysian side have played maybe 12 leagues matches already and FA cup games under there belt plus AFC cup games for JDT and Felda players. so they seems to be more match fit compared to the Philippines side.

seems like we miss a player of Jerry Lucena's caliber.

One of the positives is seeing Phil play upfront again and creating chances, something we haven't seen in a while.

The team played well probably because there was less pressure as compare to the Suzuki Cup.

This is the game where we sorely lack a Rob Gier or a Chris Greatwich who really communicates a lot during the game. A second coach on the field as they say, Although the problem wasnt really communication but hitting the goals.

Hey jonny, is it true that Roland Muller has also retired from the national team as is stated in your blog? this is a big loss for the team. Neil Etheridge will be there for the game against Nepal, but Roland would have been a great backup in case something happens to Neil. Maybe there's issue who's got to wear jersey #1? 😂😂😂 View AttachmentYeah I bet he wouldn't have retired if he was clear no. 1 and Neil Etheridge wasn't available.

I've watched the replay of the game and IMO we could have won the game. We have alot of good chances since the beginning but to no avail. The partnership of PYH and Patino is really a headache to the opponent's defense. But I was just sad the whole game. I pity the team because they were doing well but it seems that no tv network really care about them and football in general. Mabuti pa yung sabong, may sariling 24/7 tv channel.

No highlights from close angles. I think PYH deserves to get a penalty earlier. HT: Phil 0 Malaysia 0 It's a lethargic 1st half for us. We played well in the first few minutes of the match but we can't seem to sustain and make the most out of our chances. What happened to Casambre? This is the type of game he should be playing. Casambre is injured.

Anyways, Villanueva did just fine last night, but he's still untested against quality opponents.

Having the same thoughts too. Under Dooley's term that has the most number of retirement either due to age, personal matters but most notable is the number of players who quit due to unknown circumstances. Neil and Schrock almost did. Cagara for good. Now Palla and Muller? Sources say Schrock begged off due to his wife giving birth but we still don't know what's going on behind the scenes. I have the same feeling. We all know that Mulders and Lucena retired because of age concerns. Shrock had issues with Dooley before (2014 AFC Challenge Cup Final) that is why he decided to retire temporarily. Same with Cagara, he was allegedly dump in favor Sato. I think Cagara or Sato can play other positions aside from LB. Stephan Palla - problem with Coach Dooley (just suspecting), I mean Stephan Palla is a regular for his Austrian Bundesliga Club, why he didn't received a call-up? despite the international window. Muller - Family reasons but I'm suspecting it is beyond family reasons. Although he is a starter at Ceres-Negros (same with Deyto at Global Cebu), the team is only playing competitively for 3 games (AFC Cup). The PFF and Mr. Dan Palami need to sort this out otherwise the chances of potential overseas young talent joining the Azkals will decrease. This young players need to have a team-mate(s) who shared the same language (Germans, spanish etc.). Next seem to be Martin Steuble who has left the squad against Nepal , and Antonio Ugarte has been added to the squad.

Why Stephan Palla was not selected? I tweeted why Palla was not selected , and got a like from both Mark Hartmann and Dan Palami. Interesting....

Mark Hartmann wasn't called-up as well. He's always just an option/replacement just like if someone gets injured. The problem with him is he's always played well in his club. But when it comes to a NT duties, he's just a shadow of himself.

I'm also not the biggest fan of Mark Hartmann. He's been given big chances before to perform but failed to impress. The pressure is really big if you are playing for the Philippines.

I think he had a similar playing time problem with Ceres. He is more like a substitute to OJ Porteria in the last 3 AFC Cup matches.
