Looking at things in perspective. In the World Cup we saw South Korean beat Germany 2-0. South Korea is the first opponent of the Philippines in the 2019 Asian Cup. Who's predicting the final score? How about, how many points can we gather in group play? One point will be a pragmatic estimate, a tie with Kyrgyzstan.

We can progress through the group stage with 4 points, this is an ideal scenario for me. Having a draw with China and winning against Kyrgyzstan.

Looks like part of Vietnam's own prep for the Asian Cup is a tiff with the Azkals in Qatar a week before the tournament.

In addition to etheridge, a deadly amd creative forward to complement patino would have been a very desirable addition..but i guess this is really just what we have right now..goodluck to the team

I am starting to dislike the Malaysian owner of Cardiff City. Ever since he had that dinner with Etheridge at the Suzuki Cup, Etheridge has excused himself from playing for the Azkals. I bet if Etheridge played for Malaysia instead of the Philippines, they would have excused him for the Asian Cup.

With Cardiff's standing at the moment, it's not surprising they aren't releasing Neil or Neil is opting not to play in the Asian Cup, whichever the case may be. It's sad, especially with all the buildup leading up to the tournament and Neil's involvement in all that. I do hope the Azkals do go past the group stage, I believe they have it in them to do it. Apart from Etheridge, one glaring omission to me is Amani Aguinaldo on defense.
