I don't get it. Since this Indonesian break-away league isn't sanctioned by FIFA, does that mean that if the YH bros took their offer, they would not be allowed to play for the MNT?!?! During the interview, Phil kept on mentioning that things were not perfect and that the MNT was their first priority. How does one affect the other?

If the YB bros signs for this club they are facing the possibility of being band from joining our national team coz that league is not sanctioned by FIFA. FIFA and the other confiderations runs the show. Thats the Beauty football, everything is connected to everything. You cannot just run your own show like what the NBA is doing, they dont care what the rest of the basketball world is doing as long as ther run their own thing.

Thanks for the post. Ok, so they made the right decision. And showed some principle at not just jumping at the money placed before them. Good for them!
Now, are there other offers from other Asian leagues?

Apart from national team interests, they also have their academy. They have to make a decision soon though, while they're still a "hot" selection. Suzuki Cup fanfare is winding down.

as long as this does not affect their eligibility to play for the NT, then I think this is a good thing for them.

as long as this does not affect their eligibility to play for the NT, then I think this is a good thing for them. :)as long as the yb brothers won't be banned by the fifa (since the indonesian team is not accreditted by fifa)it's ok for them to play in the indionesian league.

only thing that they need to consider is how much potential is there on the IPL that could go to waste. I am not just talking about the younghusbands, but also the likes of (sorry, super bored and when i got to check on the players, i ended up having fun scouting the teams):
Indonesia (not limited to): Ifran Bachdim, Tantan, Kurniawan (who was naturalized after Gonzalez), Samsul Arif, Muhammad Ridwan Nigeria: Onwatuegwu East Timor: Joao Bosco Montenegro: Ilija Spasojevic Australia (not limited to): Billy Quinncroft, David Micevski Tunisia: Amine Kamoun Syria: Marwan Sayedeh South Korea: Jun Kwon
So, As posted, there are a number of players who would be directly affected by this, should they decide to ban the said players. HOWEVER, I couldnt think of any players who has the same impact (aside from Bachdim) as the younghusbands who could get banned should this league not be FIFA sanctioned.
