I was SURPRISED that they don't even have one! Searched all over the internet and could not find one, the link from the AFF leads to a chinese website...

Not sure about the PDF file, I might download and scan it in a sandbox later to see if it does anything nasty. Anyway, what I know about the PFF site is that it's in the works. A friend of mine who's close to the PFF says there's a design team working on the visuals and the general feel of the site right now— I'm actually on stand-by just in case they need an extra hand in the web development side.
Upate on the PDF:
The file seems to be valid. It contains a notice regarding the AFC Challenge Cup match between the Azkals and Mongolia. It's a three page document, which I'm sure you've seen floating around the Internet already.

Actually I did open that site, and thankfully it was safe...but it's content was just a notice of how to make an advance reservations for tickets to the upcoming Feb. 9th game against Mongolia at Bacolod's Panaad stadium...

They must really be short-handed right now considering what's been happening lately and what's happened recently. Whoever wrote the redirect to the PDF file must have been in a hurry. The more sensible way of doing this is to just make a simple HTML page with a link to that PDF and just let the user click it if they want to download the thing. That way, the user will still be left with a page if they cancel. But, that's life.

The admin is cooking a new website for fans. I think websites that are moderated by fans is more updated that those official ones. Fans has passion for the game and they do it for free, official websites are moderated by employees, sometimes they walk like snails on crutches.

Shame. As of now, you're not missing a lot as we are still waiting for full-licensed images to use in the site. I assume those will be coming in after Wednesday's game. But you got me worried there for a moment, I haven't thought to check if the site is still usable with images disabled. Hahaha! Anyway, going off topic already...

Thats good to hear, I tot it was to txty at first(if there such a word.hahaha). It needs more pictures/art. Anyway its all good, kudos to the people who made this possible. At least now we get a one stop info about local futbol. Question, the "store" I smell merchandise, can people post their products on that section? or maybe the site itself will sell its own so people can buy online? Maybe tie-up with Mizuno so they can get better access from fans. There is a big demand this days.

With acknowledgement of the fact that cjeagle has been on this crusade (for lack of a better term) for about 6 months now, let me get on the soapbox about the same issue. If you go to FIFA.com and click on the Philippines, it lists the official PFF website as www.the-pff.com. I've got news for you. This domain's registration expired on 09-May-2011, and where you land when you attempt to go to this site is a crap shoot depending on your location. It's probably up for grabs now. The AFF, on the other hand, lists the PFF's website as www.philfootball.info/ As has been noted earlier in this thread, this website takes you to a Chinese (?) site. The Philippine Olympic Committee website has the PFF website as philfootball.info.ph/ Good luck on where this site takes your browser. This is nothing short of embarrassing. With the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers and the U23 games, there will be a dramatic surge in searches for Azkals or PFF websites. The PFF, I believe, is missing a golden opportunity not having its own official website. A website will not only increase goodwill, but also provide potential revenue as a portal for licensing agreements, merchandising, etc. There are millions of Filipinos worldwide who have the purchasing power who are ready, willing and able to support the PFF and the Azkals. As I noted elsewhere, my own commercial website was "made in the Philippines". The Philippines has world class web designers. Hosting is cheaper than dirt. Frankly, I don't understand what the hangup is. Money should not be an issue. Early in my career, a boss taught me to keep my mouth shut if I wasn't willing to put my money where my mouth is. Whenever I bitched and moaned over something, he made me "volunteer" to fix the problem. In that same spirit, I'm willing to donate the 1st year of domain registration and hosting just to get the ball rolling. End of rant, stepping off the soapbox now.
