Thanks,
The Suzuki Cup fixtures for the PI is on Nov 24th, 27 & 30th and if we reach the Semis and Finals, up 'til Dec. 22.
Here is Salgaocar's sched at that time frame(these are all I-League games):
Fri 23/11/12 Prayag United SC - Salgaocar Tue 27/11/12 East Bengal - Salgaocar Sat 01/12/12 Salgaocar - Dempo Sat 08/12/12 Salgaocar - Pune FC Fri 14/12/12 Salgaocar - ONGC Sat 22/12/12 Salgaocar - Sporting Club
Personally, I do not think he'll be allowed to go seeing that they consider him one of their prized new player who can help them regain top form in the league + that's an awful lot of games for a "star" player to miss!

I agree. It looks like we will be missing one of our key players in the Suzuki Cup unless they can somehow convince them to release him.

Angel Guirado's team won its first match for the Federation Cup in India, he was in the game roster(see previous page in this thread) but there are no current "ingame" roster report that Ive found yet. It's probably safe to say that he played for the first time in this game.
They beat Prayag United 1-0.

Yes, hopefully jpmanahan and wiking can cover Angel's exploits in India as well as a Filipino player based abroad. If there is info available, then well and good.

Baka nga hindi i release si Angel sa Susuki Cup ng Salgaocar kasi may mga nirelease na foreign players ang Salgaocar para masign nila ang 3 Foreign Players including Angel, Where in Vital ang magiging role ni Angel sa team formation nila ngayon na 4-3-3.

In addition: Angel's Salgaocar SC is the reigning champ for the Federation Cup and have much to defend. Btw: I spoke with someone today that told me Angel Guirado was offered $7,000 a month for his services by SSC. No confirmation, I just wanted to share. His rumored salary with Global(which was discussed here briefly last year) was supposed to be mid P250k. Put it in your "rumors" bag

Good.. Sana tuloy tuloy pa ang magandang performance niya sa SSC without injuries pati na din sa ibang Azkals para maganda conditions nila if ever man makalaro na for Philippines.

SALGAOCAR FC REGISTERS ITS SECOND WIN IN THE RACE TOWARDS THE FEDERATION CUP The Defending Champions Produced A Marvellous Display Of Football, Thus Maintaining Their Winning Run In The Tournament. Posted on: 23-Sep-2012 An early goal from new signing Angel Guirado and a couple of later goals from Nicolau Colaco and Anthony D'Souza were enough to send United Sikkim FC crashing out of Federation Cup. With two consecutive wins, SFC has strengthened its chances towards a semi final slot from Group D, as a draw against Pune FC wil be sufficient to see them through to the semi-finals. The referee had barely whistled to signal the kick off, when Salgaocar took the lead. Angel Guirado, a former youth player with Malaga FC and Deportivo La Coruna, was handed his first start in place of Australian Sean Rooney. And he made it count as he headed in Milagres' corner as early as in the 2nd minute. The goal seemed to settle the leaders as they were content to play around United. The Half time score read 1-0. In the second half there were early exchanges between both the teams but the play was much confined to the Midfield. Any hope of United Sikkim salvaging something was extinguished ten minutes from time when two quickfire strikes from Nicolau Colaco (82’), and Anthony D’Souza (85’) put the result beyond any doubt. This was Anthony’s second goal of the tournament as he continues his excellent form under the guidance of Karim Bencherifa. Salgaocar FC will play Pune FC on 24th Sep in their final Group D match at JRD complex at 3 pm. www.salgaocarfc.in/NewsDetail.aspx?nmid=usv

Not sure if this reliable but Guerrero mentions in this article that Angel will be available for the Suzuki Cup. Personally I think the chances are slim, but hopefully the club will consider the player's wishes and loan the player to us. ph.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/thepassionatefan/azkals-look-impress-peace-cup-154001289.html#more-id"Angel Guirado is tied up with his Indian club, Salgaocar and will not see action, but I have been told that he will rejoin the Azkals starting October and will play in the Suzuki Cup in December."
