Eto po ang aking mga saloobin at aking mga suhestiyon at mga kuwestiyon ukol sa nangyaring match between the UFL All-Stars
and of the PHL Azkals. Everyone has their own opinions.
Before I would like to say my verdict on the percussive effects of this match and what would it mean for the betterment of football, let us discuss the other side of the match, THE CROWD AND THE FANS.
LET'S GET IT ON!!!
Well sad to say but the Azkals' equalizer by Ian Araneta was quickly shoved aside by El-Habbib's last gasp winner against Etheridge. It is surely gut-wrenching for those who supported our national team.
isa lang masasabi ko: 'RAYKUPO!
Now let's get back to what I would really like to say. Huli na ako nakapanood since I came from our Church here in Laguna. nasa 70th minute na ako nasimulan ang match and the match is raging on at UMAK. *sad*
1.)THE NUMBERS ARE SURELY INCREASING
Masasabi ko mas maraming tao compared from the usual crowd sa UMAK.
VERDICT: A-
*I LOVE THE ATTENDANCE, more people became aware about Football, pero marami paring mga bakanteng upuan. Kudos for the Azkals page team (lalo na si Admin Andi et al) for disseminating tirelessly in facebook about the All-Star match. Salud Admins!
2. THE CROWD'S REACTIONS
"HAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!"
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
"NAKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Where's the ULTRAS?
I appreciate the Admin's facebook suggestion of bringing WATER DISPENSER BOTTLES to be used as DRUMS.
One comment of my friend's friend sa facebook:
"SUPER! They're not even going wild when someone scores a goal! Tapos wala naman ako narinig na chant "
Naririnig ko lang iyong mga drums! wala man lang nagbalak na mag chant! Where are those enthusiastic facebook people who want to belong to ULTRAS KAHOLEROS?
The drummer's aint enough. And those people who professed their loyalty ain't ultras. Maybe they don't get wha'ts the meaning of being an ULTRA.
What I've seeing is GROUPIES of women. Who I bet who just came there for Phil Younghusband, his bro and for Neil Etheridge. And when Izzo, Dagroh and the bunch scored their goals for their respective teams and what the crowd replied?
they're just clapping.
Okay lang iyon, clapping is the best way of appreciation, but the lack of those self-proclaimed fanatics sa facebook really pissed my friend, who I'm chatting in Skype. He's from Manchester in England & upon I told him about what happened in the match. "Is that your fans?" Mack told me. "I'm really really disappointed, the football fans here would surely be jumping on their stands, clapping their arses till it explodes."
Intayin mo mga 20 years and if the state of Football didn't improve in our country, I told him flatly, then write the Azkals off.
Kudos to the GROUPIES of young girls who went there and do the share of "CHEERING" by screaming to the top of their lungs. Wala silang ginawa kundi tumili, obscuring the calls of referees and their whistles.
My reaction is, so the real point of the crowd (especially those groupies) is to cheer only the cute Azkaleros and of the UFL All-Stars? I would like to share my qualms about the match para makita ng mga tao na THIS CAN BE OR WILL BE THE WAY HOW PEOPLE WATCH FOOTBALL HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES.
VERDICT: F-
As a closet football fanatic since I stepped out of High-School, makikita ko ang pagiging lame ng crowds sa UMAK.
Imagine those 30+ groupies who just pissed off our patrons sa carinderia namin who where watching the match, multiply them to 200 or 300, MAINGAY ANG RIZAL! LAME PEOPLE ARE SHOUTING AND NOT ALL OF THE CROWD ARE CHEERING!
3.) THE PRESENCE OF ULTRAS AT UMAK
DISTRESSING. DISAPPOINTING. EMOTIONALLY AWFUL FOR ME.
They don't even grasp what's the meaning of an ULTRA. Like in this picture:
then I replied:
then I added another:
But sad to say, di sila Ultras. THEY'RE BANDWAGONEERS. They're the type of people who just want to be IN. They're the type that who will leech the game of football, and will turn away if they had enough of you already.
VERDICT: F+
Disappointing really. Madaming gusto maging Kaholeros pero walang sumipot. What's the purpose of being an Ultra?
SEGUE!
We football fans would wish that we must have the culture of futbol here in the Philippines but sad to say, mabagal umusad ang football YET as of now. More media coverage and a good image this sport will do football good. And more supporters will arise (not those groupies and fans, fans will level up as supporters in the future), and that what I would like to wish.
ganito kasi ang analogy sa groupies, fans, ultras and supporters in my own opinion:
They're what you call on-off fans. Nabubugbog minsan ito sa ibang bansa. beware.
2.) Fans - Those fans are, fans. Fans of teams that they deem worth supporting. They support it coz, well because it is IN. It is the team worth watching but not worth supporting for.
3.) Supporters - Real fans. Those who will really take a bullet for the team (Would support your team till death, sabi nga ng ibang supporters). They are those who will fight for the name of their club or nation. They are those who will wave their national flag, cheering them to their might, and bringing the THUNDER!
4.) ULTRAS - EXTREME SUPPORTERS. WILL WAVE A FLAG, UNFURL A BANNER! DANCING IN THEIR SEATS, LIGHTING FIREWORKS, THOSE WHO HAVE SCARVES WHO WILL PROFESS TO THEIR TOP OF THEIR LUNGS, THAT WE! WE ULTRAS ARE THOSE WHO WILL BE THE ROCK IN WHICH THE NATION WILL STAND!
Sana ma grasp natin ang totoong meaning ng Football dito sa Pilipinas, not just by jumping the bandwagon and professing your love the to the Younghusbands.
SUGGESTIONS AS A SUPPORTER AND A FOOTBALLER:
-Don't always rely on drums. Let them be the tune, but not the FORCE behind the Supporters. Let the supporters be the FORCE and not the TUNE. This will be done by coordinated BY COLORFUL DISPLAYS and CHANTS.
More drums would not make the game more colorful. It can turn into noise.
-The media especially ABS-CBN would like to add more cameras. Don't just rely on one camera.
- More sponsorships. Especially for the kit manufacturers. Mizuno. Care to produce more? Walang adidas or nike? If I am Mizuno, I would unveil my new kit in these kind of football matches. This would be and advertisement.
IMPORTANT!:
-Ultras are not picked thru email. They must apply and must have the real guts to be an ultra. Not to be sexist, pero groupies ang mga iyon! Ultras are REAL SUPPORTERS. Not groupies!
I SUGGEST THAT TO JOIN AN ULTRAS GROUP OF THE PFF, THERE MUST BE AN AUDITION!
and I also suggest that DISPLAYS AND TIFOS ARE BY THE FANS!
P.S.
I would like to express more support for the admins of Pinoyfootball and of the page of Azkals in Facebook! They are the unsung heroes of this saga, for without them, it would be just nothing! Again, Salud Admins!
ALL ENDS HERE! I need more reactions!
