If two experienced players are having problems with the manager, I think there must be something wrong. This seems like more than a misunderstanding.

This has the potential of unraveling the national team. We can't lose so many good European trained players while a coach can always be replaced. On the other hand those players who have gained favor under Dooley might not want him to leave either. Hopefully all the parties can establish lines of communication and resolve this misunderstanding.

When Neil Etheridge retweeted some messages saying that why Neil and other players are not in the lineup of Peace Cup, I thought its just a simple reminder how bad other players wanted to play And then Some posts about the photos of the heroes in Suzuki Cup last 2010. It came out into my mind that there is something wrong here. Earlier this day some media person is trying to pull down the reputation of Schrock reiterating that "Schrock doesn't want to play for the country anymore".
Well infact before Schrock became an azkal he already love the country it shows on his tatoos and even he is injured before he showed up to support the team. Maybe thats one reason why Schrock came out to be honest and true to his self this time.
Before I Wanted Dooley but I have an apprehension specially during the challenge cup final, Lots of experienced players didn't started or even at the last minute he didn't infused some veterans I really never thought that there is some problems regarding the Veteran Azkals.
Pasensiya na po sa grammar.

And I thought Schrock will love the appointment of his fellow half-German. Di pala. What could have happened between him and Dooley? From what I remember, during the match against Palestine, Schrock was replaced during halftime. Schrock was playing hurt. Maybe Dooley wanted to take care of his health, and the warrior in Schrock probably wanted to play the whole game (hello, it's the Finals!) Just my speculations.

This is not a simple "misunderstanding", its a freaking mutiny of the best players in the team. I know you been supporting Dooley ever since he become the coach of the team. But Establishing lines of communication will not resolve anything. The solution for this problem is to get rid of him, better yet him resign for the sake of the team. There must be a big internal conflict with the team for Schrock to openly criticize Dooley like this and I bet you its not only him. I still believe that the Azkals could have won the Challenge cup if we had a different coach, we beat Palestine 2 years ago without Schrock and Stueble and a backup goalkeeper! For the team to come out flat like that say something but past is past. We must focus on the future, the WC Qualifying, Schrock has to be there but Dooley should not.

Dennis Mengoy Cagara
@dmengoy Dooley is also the reason why I won't play for the Azkals for the moment.

Who said I was downplaying this development? I even gave the possible reasons why this has occurred, which seems to be correct as even Cagara has joined the boycott. Many members of the media, and members of the UFL community(coaches and players) like the job he is doing, because of his giving UFL players a chance to make the national team and I agree with that assessment as well, but I always thought that our European trained players especially those who have played at the highest level(including Cagara who has played in the Bundesliga with Hertha Berlin), should be given preference in the big tournaments, while allowing the younger players more opportunity in lesser tournaments to prove themselves when the big guns are not available. Unfortunately Dooley had only a few months to evaluate the players by the time the Challenge Cup rolled around and he has never seen or had very little chance of seeing how these players perform, since some of them didn't even show up for any of the friendly games leading up to the tournament, so it is somewhat understandable as a coach, that he stuck with the players he was most familiar with. There also is the possibility that he was given the directive by team management to emphasize giving local players a chance to prove themselves in the Peace Cup(which I have read from comments on the news), which unfortunately didn't sit very well with our more established players from abroad. As for the Challenge Cup, I was not suprised that Palestine won the tournament. Unlike some of you folks I followed (and was in communication with their fans),the other teams in the Challenge Cup and have seen Palestine do well against much bigger teams in West Asia(teams we have struggled against), despite the difficulties they have at home. Their defence was superb and we weren't able to play our best game because of injuries to our best players in the final(Juani Guirado and Schrock), so were somewhat at a disadvantage in that game. Overall though I thought we played very well, and showed a lot of improvement from previous tournaments and much of that can be laid at the feet of Coach Dooley.

Actually you are downplaying it a bit. As boybato said, this isn't just some misunderstanding that could be resolved through "lines of communication". Your assessment is only with regards to team/match day selections, when the issue is a little deeper than that based on Schrock's interview where he mentions something about problems within the PFF. There could also be other issues between Schrock and now Cagara vs. Dooley.

There will come a time that our euro based players will be stepping down. But not this early, if we want to move forward we should built a team mostly based here who could train together week in and week out. If they doesnt want to play lets move forward. We can't change our coach and the system with just a click and expect a good result out of it. PFF should make a gamble or maybe talk to both parties to settle down with their issues. As for Cagara,he's getting old and we got a young Sato and Christaens at the helm (sorry cagara fans).

Maybe Cagara and Etheridge felt disrespected when they are not included in the line-up for the Peace Cup especially that they are currently clubless. Schrocki back them up and it showed his leadership when he sympathized with them and criticized Coach Dooley..

I Think they were not even informed also they were not even asked if they can play or not, they were not even appreciated and they felt disrespected. Kahit sino naman magtatampo or sasama ang loob, Anyway here is the other thing si coach mcmenemy said last night that they were 3-4 posible players that are stepping down.
