MATCH REPORT: Rob Gier
Sept 20 2011 2 Ascot United 2-4 Holyport
It was back to reality for Rob's Ascot U in this losing effort in an away game against Holyport. The game saw great promise in the first 20 minutes and numerous chances for Rob's team but eventually the score was 3-0 at the break. The worst came at the 73rd minute as Holyport went ahead 4-0. The final score, 4-2 for the home team. A loss for Ascot U that sees its record going to 3-6-1.
Rob G was not included in the game roster.
NOTE: My last update on Rob, I mentioned he was not in the roster and I surmised that his wife might be "on the way". According to Manny Ott's tweet a few hours ago, Rob and his wife indeed has a new baby! Lets all congratulate Rob and family!

MATCH REPORT: Neil Etheridge
Sept 21 2011 Chelsea 0-0[(P)4-3] Fulham CARLING CUP
In an away game, Fulham played a similar game from it's last league match against Manchester City. Since it was not a league game, Martin Jol, Fulhams head coach decided to insert 5 new faces into the starting lineup. Some came from it's own academy grads and some new signings, as Chelsea did the same. The match went back and forth, with the new and young starters proving their worth.
Even with extra time no team could best the other so the end of the match, and the winner, was decided by a penalty shootout. The heartbreaking loss ended at 4-3, Chelsea. Fulhams Carling Cup aspiration ended at the 3rd round.
Neil Etheridge was in the player lineup as a 2nd GK.

MATCH REPORT: Kevin Ingreso
Sept 20 2011 Hallescher FC 1-4 Hamburger SV FRIENDLY
Kevin Ingreso back on the pitch!
Kevin's Hamburger SV, currently last place in the 1.Bundesliga played a friendly with a Regionalliga(4th tier) team to celebrate its new "sports park". With Michael Oenning, its German coach being fired and replaced by interim coach Rodolfo Cardoso, formerly injured and reserve players were given playing time, though another assistant coach, Soner Oysal accompanied the team to Halle for the actual game.
The score was tied at the half but the true superiority of the HSV players came out in the second with a dominating performance on both sides of the pitch.
Filipino German Kevin Ingreso was subbed in at the 64th minute and shortly after showed his offensive prowess by almost finding the back of the net! Final score 4-1 HSV.
NOTE: Hopefully this is the beginning of Kevin's inclusion into regular league games. If he does play, he would be one of very few Filipinos to play in a country's highest soccer league.

TEAM REPORT: Oliver Pötschke/BFC Preussen Berlin
Date of report: Sept 21 2011
The "Herren" or mens team of BFC Preussen Berlin has played a total of 7 games this 2011-2012 season. They play in the 1st Berlin Men's League with a total of 19 teams. Sadly for BFC Preussen they are 19th and last place having a record of 0 wins 5 losses and 2 ties with a total of only 2 points. Their next game is on the 25th. BFC Preussen is also competing for the "Berliner Pilsner Cup"
Oliver Pötschke's team is more commonly called BFC Preussen, the team plays in the Berlin Liga which used to be called Verbandsliga Berlin. Contrary to almost all Philippine based report about Oliver, he does not play in the 5th Bundesliga(there is no such thing). The 5th tier of German soccer is called the "Oberliga". The Berlin Liga which BFC Preussen belong too(and Oliver) is actually the 6th tier of German soccer! He therefore plays at the same level as Patrick Hinrichsen.

MATCH/TEAM REPORT: Jason de Jong/ FC Dordrecht(youth)
Sept 19 2011 Jong VVV Venlo 2-6 Jong FC Dordrecht
The 19th was the latest date that the FC Dordrecht youth team has played a match. The "Sheep's Head" youth team includes, perhaps rightly so, our very own "Black Sheep" of the Azkal family, Jason de Jong! This away game is the 4th match of the young season for the FC D youth team and is also the first where he is in the starting lineup. Jason's first time on the roster was as a substitue on the 3rd game of the season, he was not used at that time.
This match against VVV Venlo's youth team was the first time the sheeps head youth team had won in 4 tries as they could only manage a tie their 3rd game against Willem II's youth team, also an away game. Their record now stands at 1-2-1. As fitting for our Jason's aggressive attitude in the pitch, he was also rewarded with a yellow card. Ultimately the 2-0 halftime lead of FC D was increased to 5 goals with 1 more goal added at stoppage time to make it 6 to 2. A fitting winning start for Jason in his club debut.
TRIVIA: The famous photo of Paul Maulders and JdJ playing against each other was a practice game on Aug 9 2011. Paul Played with ADO's youth team, they beat JdJ's team 3-0.
JdJ's team, although a reserve team, also plays for the KNVB Cup(Dutch Cup), much like Englands FA Cup. They played Jong FC Utrecht at home on Aug 15 and lost 3-0. Jason did not play in this match.
NOTE: Next match is on the 26th against NAC Breda's youth team.
I will be first to admit, I owe vwtron for the first clue that led me to JdJ's team and his whereabouts.
His team is not in any "tier" unlike Manny Ott's(4th) or Patrick Hinrichsen's(6th) youth teams. His team plays against youth teams of 1st and 2nd division clubs(they have their own youth league).
Jason's senior club FC Dordrecht belongs in the Eerste Divisie, a 2nd tier division in the Netherland's soccer hierarchy.
If I am wrong on anything please let me know so I can adjust asap.

MATCH REPORT: Jerry Lucena
Sept 21 2011 Hvidovre 2-2[(P)8-9] AGF Landspokal(Danish Cup)
To get to the point, it was Jerry Lucena who kicked the last and winning goal at the penalty shootout to win the game for AGF Aarhus 11-10!
It was an away game for AGF in this Danish Cup game. The opponent Hvidovre is a highly ranked 2nd division team, they are currently at the 2nd spot in the rankings. AGF is at the top of the Danish tier system and are at the 4th place position.
AGF played a few more none starters for this game mainly youth players hence the closer score. After the full 90 minutes and an additional 30 min. in extra time the score stood at 2-2. Penalty goals stood at 10-10 when Jerry Lucena stepped up to try his luck. The rest is history, final score 11-10 AGF. For today, Jerry Lucena comes up the hero!!
Jerry played the entire match.
AGF moves to the 4th round of the Danish Cup.

MATCH REPORT: Kevin Ingreso
Sept 23 2011 Stuttgart 1-2 Hamburger SV
With a new head coach, Argentinian Rudolfo Cardoso and a revised starting XI. HSV finally breaks the curse and wins an away game against Stuttgart, 2 to 1. With a plethora of players of Asian descent in its roster, including new starter Zhi Gin Lam a 20yo German Chinese, Korean player Heung Min Son and Filipino German Kevin Ingreso who finally made a game appearance in a friendly a few days ago, HSV is poised to resume winning ways.
Although Stuttgart was leading 1-0 at the half, HSV buttoned up and struck twice in the 2nd. End score 2-1 HSV, with its revised lineup proving that it was the right choice from the new coach. Unfortunately Kevin did not make the game roster.
HSV is up one place at 17th while Stuttgart is at a comfortable 6th.

MATCH REPORT: Manny Ott
Sept 24 2011 Ingolstadt II 0-5 Hoffenheim II
No way to sugarcoat this home loss. Manny's young Schanzer's were only down 1-0 at the half from a penalty goal, but the second half was a different story. Goals at 52'(own goal), 67', 70 and 72 min. spelled the end of Ingolstadt's hopes and the ascent of Hoffenheim II to first place in the Regionalliga South. Incidentally Hoffenheim's previous opponent suffered an 8-0 loss. Ingolstadt meanwhile went down to 8th place, still a comfortable position in the 18 team league.
Manny Ott wearing jersey number 20 started and played the entire match.

MATCH REPORT: Neil Etheridge
Sept 24 2011 West Bromwich Albion 0-0 Fulham
No luck for Neil's Fulham team again. In the Barclay's Premier League, West Brom is ranked 20th and dead last while Fulham is at 18th. Unfortunately, or rather fortunately, Fulham still came out of this away game with at least a point.
Neil E. remain Fulhams second choice GK.

Wiking, I've read in Fulham's Facebook group that Schwarzer is the man on the match for them and he was playing through in pain in the 2nd half... he got injured in the game?
