The Philippine National Team loses 1-0 to a team which is much more experienced and in a much higher level. Basing on what the Kuwait Football Team has already achieved in the past, this lose is a win for the Philippine Football Team. And I will stick to my previous comments: PYH converted the penalty kick to a goal, still the Filipinos should not give the major credit of the game to PYH. It was a penalty kick and based on an expert view 96% of penalty kicks are converted. It would now be very unfair if the Filipinos would now see PYH as the saviour of the game Philippine vs Kuwait. Specially as it was a handball not a foul.

good game! i never thought we could play like that. it really showed how imoreved right now compared to the last we face them. if only those players could play in the Suzuki cup i would say that we can upset Thailand and Vietnam.
it was a controversial foul inside the box that lead to a penalty for the Kuwaitis but i think we got also lucky from that handball from the Kuwaiti defender. i think it was also a questionable call from the ref. we owned the second half. we just need to be consistent. that was the quality we've seen during the Challenge cup but we failed to bring it in our past few friendlies like Guam,Laos and Cambodia

Im loving the improvements, our team is quite deep now too. Thing is Weiss still needs to focus on his rotation system -- i don't envy his job. Hope we can stay like how we played in the 2nd half against Kuwait, we were the killer on some of those moments, we created threats and deadly with the ball. See IMHO, that was the most offensive line up we ever had (Phil, Wolf, Angel, Reichelt and Mulders). Suzuki Cup will be for sure a firework!

An improved squad indeed! Good job Azkals!
PS This maybe off topic but I can't find the right thread.
Before I kind of like him especially his enthusiasm but he irritates the hell out of me now. Bob, please for the love of G_d! How many times do you have to say he's freakin' played for this freakin' team. Memorize ko na linya mo
Nagiging chismoso ka na ha

Its a World Class Penalty kick Man.. The only one who I admire that is doing that Kind of PK is Drogba just like what he Did to win the Champions League that is not easy. It is still a GOAL..
Maybe JYH should subbed in for Reichelt since Phil is on the Pitch.. The Bros can play well together.. There is some instances in the game, When Phil Runs inside the box there is no feeds for PYH.. Normally those balls needed by Phil is coming from JYH..
Anyway.. Do you know guys who am I thinking that fits with this Kind of Running game? its Mr. "P"... I thought he will subbed in for Wolf earlier..
We are more deadly on the second half, Still a Good game.. Job well done guys nothing to be ashamed of..
Angel the game changer..! and Reichelt want's to stay as a starter.

Angel & Cagara is a beast combination on the left flank.. If they could play more together they could be dangerous.. I saw an open pass to Cagara.. Angel could easily give it to him, but instead he launches deeply at the right side.. maybe because Reichelt is on fire, I love the way that he can found a way for himself to make a cross and mostly finding its target. I worried when Chieffy got outpaced by a kuwaiti player, cause Caligdong is mostly knewn for one of the fastest player in the PHL.. Good thing Cagara is Macho Papa enough to deal with this kind of players, hilarious moment at the left corner against Kuwaiti. xD I love NE new PK " Ok, I'm going to save this" Pose.. At first i thought it really works, not until the 2nd penalty of course.. and still can't believe Kuwait fans still using laser.. so cheap, but of course it doesn't affect NE game at all, he's a pro after all. Phil proved that he's still a reliable striker.. Well, i wonder what JYH feels now that someone is nearing to claim his spot. Bold move for Coach Weiss indeed.. Overall the result is of course satisfying, considering how the Al-Azraq plays.. Don't want to be stereotype but i notice that Asian Refs love to giving away soft penalty. Well the 1st is clearly a penalty, the handball is harsh, the 3rd doesn't do much contact to reward a penalty. Anyways result doesn't matter anyway it's just a friendly.. Lost of positive here.. We really improve compare to last year 3-0 loss w/ hostile crowd.. Hope next time Kuwait visit the Philippines and see if we can at least win or draw. Good XP for the boys! I can say that MEC is a success! Bahrain and Kuwait play like ASEAN team but w/ too much quality.. Hasang-hasa talaga tayo! Next stop is Japan Camp?

Football is a team game. In comparison to JYH, Reichelt looks who has the best chance to shoot and pass the ball to him while JYH looks where his brother stands. In a 1 to 1 competion Reichelt goes and most often wins the ball while JYH does not or cannot. And correction to your statement: It was the coach's decision to put Reichelt as a starter, obliviously he sees a better winger in Reichelt than JYH. Between you and the coach, I think the coach knows better how football is played.

JYH wasn't subbed in.. looks like Wiess is happy with Reichelt on that RW and he did substituted Reichelt but his choose Omphroy to subbed in for him...
I like what Weiss is doing, putting Reichelt to start the game. The kid is having a fantastic game. I think he can create more than JYH. I dont see the old Unlazy JYH now, his game is full of drama this days. Reichelt was subbed by Omphroy not coz Reicheilt ishaving a bad game, Weiss may be looking for a fresher leg on 2nd half. Omphroy was a good option, wish he went in earlier.
We`can say JYH is not a first option now

I;m glad I stayed up late for this (despite having to work at 5am today lol). We dominated Kuwait in the 2nd half (I can't believe I've just said that). I think that's the best I've seen us play. Good early subs by the coach I thought. Jonsson was having a nightmare of a game. If I remember correctly it was him who kept the Kuwaiti striker onside for their 1st goal. He wasn't combining well with Reichelt too. Carli who replaced him did really well. I think he has just cemented his place as our starting RB. Phil also had an immediate impact when he came on. He almost scored. Neil's loan spell at Bristol Rovers seems to be doing wonders for him. He looks to be in top form last night. He made some great saves and wasn't at fault for both goals. My man of the match. Angel did better than Chieffy when he came on but he still has a tendency to over dribble. We have so much quality at RM now that James wasn't even played. Lucena, Mulders, Cagara, Reichelt, Gier all had solid games as well.

The laser pointers didn't affect Neil's performance as he was just mistakenly took the wrong spot as the ball moved towards his right but he chose his left. Anyways he did a good performance considering he was now gathering more skills in England. Great save on his first penalty save. He has 2 penalty save this year. I'm now slightly dissatisfied with Jonsson. He always did long ball pass. By the time De Murga replaces him, defense improved. Despite JYH's absence, Reichelt still made the difference in JYH's spot. PYH still proved he's our finest score maker.
Kuwaitis outclassed Filipinos in speed, One thing we should improved. KUW still dominated the game but look at the difference of Azkals between 2011 and 2012. Greatly improved all are my thoughts

Great game indeed. I hope that they still improve on their short passes. More cohesiveness.
