Yup. THA should beat MYA to avoid complications. That's the easier route for the Azkals.

THA (Teerasil) just scored an easy goal at 17:25. MYA defenders just standing around as Teerasil jogged by with the ball - finish. MYA looks a far easier prospect compared to either the Thais or Vietnamese

MYA looks a far easier prospect compared to either the Thais or Vietnamese if u watch more intently, the defenders did not just stand around, it was a failed clearance by the myanmar defense which led to the quick interception and goal by Dangda the "elbow kid"

==> Azkalfutboleros... "if u watch more intently"...LOL Not gonna rise to the bait, yes there was a failed clearance, but look at Teerasil's final moves towards the goal. At least two defenders standing either side of him as he brings the ball in and scores. I'm sure any defensive coach would be more than upset at these two guys for not putting up more of a fight and letting him run by them unchecked.

And, NOPE, kinda wrong. dangda just received the ball where it fell and just clinically finished it.

I guess we'll just have to disagree on this. There were two central defenders nearby. Everyone playing Thailand knows Teerasil is a huge threat, and should have him as a marked man. The fact that the two central defenders never made a move to control this threat as it was evolving IMHO shows the lack of vision and anticipation by the two central defenders - thus the goal. But, these guys are playing for Myanmar and not Chelsea, so maybe they can be forgiven for the lack of vision and anticipation which could have prevented this goal as Teerasil went right by them. PS - saying something like "if you watch more intently" is construed as a denigrating comment. At best it implies the other poster is not paying attention, at worst you are calling into question the poster's football acumen. From your comments I'm sure you are not trying to antagonize other posters. If this is indeed your feeling, perhaps you should trying posing your comments differently, by saying something like, "well, in my view it seemed like...". Much more friendly loik

Teerasil scores a hat trick off a long ball, great first touch, strong finish giving Thailand a 4-0 lead in the closing moments.

Interesting last matchup for us against Myanmar. with their morale down, they can still get that second spot with a win.
Interesting strategy for Weiss, since we just need a draw to advance. I say we stick to our usual game, keep our defense intact, but go for that 6 points.

Gotta say, after watching the Thai-Mya match, I was much less impressed with Myanmar than what I have seen in previous matches where they have played. Their passing in the midfield seemed to lack a great deal of cohesion, and I feel their defense looks very suspect. As such, I will alter my prediction. Before the tournament I thought they would give us a tough match resulting in a draw. After watching tonights game against Thailand, I feel we have great prospects against the current team, and as such I'm now looking for a win against Myanmar. I think they might get one past us though, so I'll go for a 2-1 win for the Philippines. Go Azkals!

Im pretty sure we will capitalize on that, especially since we are good at counterattacking. I can almost see Wolf, Phil, or Angel running down and beating the offside trap for a sure-fire goal like Dangda's last two.
