2 years after reaching the semifinals of this tournament, the Azkals are back to where they have started. The Philippines was consistently outcoached throughout this tournament, losing the possession battle in every game they have played, even against the teams that they had beaten. It was no different with Singapore. The Azkal's offence was so predictable that Singapore's coach who was very familiar with how the team played after playing 2 friendlies against them within the past few months, made the proper adjustments to handle our team. I don't see the Philippines improving any further unless they make a coaching change.

I see Cagara, De Murga, Christaens, Sabio, & Borromeo for now as strong options for Back 4 by next tourney. Only Cagara is not playing locally. We might lose sabio this year.. he's going back to school. Ali might not be the Ali we used to see before. agree!! ali had been on the sideline for a long time.. hope he still got some sparks..

the players seems less-motivated and our midfield is not that strong to get the ball back to us. we fell down, now we have to climb another ladder in order to get back into the top again. i want to see another face of our team.
set a team that is composed of a local-based players and let them play. no need to rely on our foreign-based players except for Gier and Juani.

See the flow of the scores. PHI score comes first. Sept 7 - 2-0 Nov 15 - 1-0 Dec 8 - 0-0 Dec 12 - 0-1 Seems 12-12-12 isn't a lucky day for us
By the way, what can you say from this basketball player? First is Justin Bieber for Pacquiao and then next is this for Azkals /photo/1 An Azkal Fan posted than on PHL Azkals FB Page He's different from JV Casio, Chris Tiu and Asi Taulava who are Azkal Fans. Well just sharing I replaced it with just URL. You can still look at it by clicking the URL

two years is enough to develop the under 23 homegrown and foreign base players (that chose to stay in the phl)........PFF should support and build a team that they train together for the cohesion during the tournament....goodluck for next year's tournament.

Remove that. We don't care what that faggot thinks, whoever he is. He's playing a game that he thinks is more "exciting" even though his height won't even allow him to make it as a pointguard in a typical US highschool farm team. Yan lang naman ang pagyayabang ng school nila eh, they think a parochial and inconsequential college league is a big thing. I don't think that gay would even qualify to be in the national team. So ano pinagyayabang niyang never heard na yan uli?

wenden96 I agree. I hope there will be a PHI U-23 representing local and some former foreign based players to play in UFL in coming seasons and participate in local Cups to get experience. PFF still needs a lot of things to do from grassroots to infastructures.
Well better luck for PHI for 2014 edition. I hope PHI will host one of the group stage by that time.

Never mind that amateur basketball player. And please don't bash him on Twitter. We're classy here

From Lions All The Way FB Page:Today at half time during our match against the Azkals, LATW presented a cheque of SGD2000.00 to Mercy Relief in aid of typhoon Bopha that ravaged the Philippines. This money was raised through the kind contributions of members of the crew. The crew would like to thank all that contributed, be it in grand ways and grand amounts or otherwise. Lets hope this modest amount can bring some relief to our friends in the Philippines.
