By: Atty Edwin Gastanes General Secretary Philippine Football Federation Posted on: bleachersbrew.blogspot.com/SUMMARY: Ticketworld Tickets are reservation tickets. You have to change this tickets with the OFFICIAL AFF SUZUKI CUP 2012 Tickets printed by Thai Ticket Master at the stadium on gameday or at the PFF office from Dec 4 - 7. Only the OFFICIAL TICKET will get you inside the stadium. what the @#$% is this PFF?! what is this measure supposed to achieve? its a big hassle if you ask me. i can already foresee the chaos on dec 8 that will be caused by the additional bother of claiming the so-called official game tickets. geez, i will be bringing along 4 kids with me too. good luck to me

I'm guessing this is more of an AFF Suzuki Cup standard?

Yeah, the official Suzuki Cup tickets can even be bought at the AFF Suzuki Cup website, I think. Coordinating everything between TicketWorld and Thai Ticket Master is probably a logistical nightmare! Probably why the bleachers are now free seating, just to cut down on the mess.

Singaporeans have openly admitted their satisfaction with the lions' defeat of malaysia and that everything else (advancing to the semis) is just a bonus. not to say that the azkals should take the semis against the lions lightly in spite of beating singapore twice already in friendlies earlier this year. Remember, this is the same team that beat a tough malaysia side 3-0. and after being down 2-0 to laos, they showed how very capable they are to bounce back. its ok to be confident but better to couple it with a lot of caution. in light of the possible unavailability of some of the europe based players, weiss needs to be smart in making his adjustments.
our defense has been our strongest suit this tournament and i take comfort that we will still have our central defenders gier and juani. if we lose cagara and jonsson, we still have carli, and probably omphroy or christaens.
at midfield, if we lose lucena and mulders, we still have de jong, wingers james and chieffy, then greatwich or marwin at CAM perhaps?
if angel will not be released and wolf injured? who do we have left to partner with phil? reichelt?
it looks we still have the manpower that can possibly take the fight to singapore but it is going to be a very depleted line up who should be fit enough and ready to play the whole 90 mins.

We are lucky to have Singapore in the semis, Malaysia has a good squad and I think it will take much more to beat Thailand. At the very least, one of either Malaysia or Thailand will go home after this round.
I just hope on the 8th, we'll be able to pack the Rizal stadium and give Singapore an intimidating environment (supporting our own NT at the same time, of course). I'm thinking 2-1 at home for the azkals and a bore draw away.

may i just point out, though, how your statements could possibly be misconstrued. the singapore leg is on dec. 12 which is a wednesday. although the time is yet TBA, i would assume that it will be at a time that is surely after working hours. your mention of a "day-off" seems to imply you are referring to domestic helpers. mind you, i mean no disrespect to our DH countrymen, it is an honorable job and a great boost to the economy but i digress. i don't know if you are aware, correct me if i am wrong, but there is also a large population in singapore of pinoy professionals. they are the ones i was referring to who might take offense at your generalization ( unwittingly perhaps ) that all ofw's in sg are all domestics.
i'm very sure there was no malice on your part and it seems no damage was done too. so i'm not sure if i should even post this but just the same i thought i'd just point it out

ngye, since when is a day off has a better term? or is the term being only related to domestic helpers in that country?
kung me discrimination ng term baka sa bansang yan
i work here in western Europe and everyone from chief executive to auxillary support calls it a day off
kahit nung nasa pinas pako working a long time ago, we call it day off
nope im not referring to DH. very far from it ni wala nga akong idea that a day off has more to do with DH?
my message was about for all filipinos to have the chance to watch it live.
as an example, kung me laban ang black cats dito, nag re request ako ng day off or nakikipag swap ng sked para lang makapanuod.

We are already off topic and as I mentioned, no harm, no foul. I am sorry I even brought it up. Let's put the matter to an end, shall we?

Looks like it's sort of the Peace Cup team will most likely go up against Singapore. So we might expect a performance similar to the Cebu friendly. Not a good sign as we played poorly in the first half and just barely escaped with a win there and EdSa had to play heroically to keep a clean sheet. EdSa's been playing marvelously but we can't demand superhuman feats from him every match.

Aff said away goal is worth double. True? not exactly, it only happens during a possible EXTRA-TIME in the 2nd leg if the aggregate score is tied. any goal scored by the Philippines (since we are the AWAY team in the 2nd leg) will be merited 2x. meaning if this happens leg 1 PHIL 1-0 SIN leg 2 90 minutes SIN 1-0 PHIL AGGREGATE 1-1
extra-time will take place on that game (2nd leg in Singapore) if during extra time each team scored a goal each (1-1)
final score will be 2-2 on aggregate but will turn out we score 2 away goals in total. It will give us the WIN.
no more PENALTY SHOOTOUT.

guys we need your help.
since this is the 1st ever home game for the Philippine National Football team for any major tournament, could we at least help each other out post this message to all your FB, Twitter, BLOG or other social media sites for others to see and hopefully convince them to watch on Dec.8 live at RMS or even at home.
the Philippine National Football Team (Azkals) are once again in the semifinals of the AFF Suzuki Cup. Unlike in 2010, this time around we have a home game to play at our very own backyard specifically at the Rizal Memorial Stadium (RMS) on December 8, 2012 (Saturday) at 8PM. This is a rare feat or let say just a start of many good things to come not only for Philippine football but also Philippine Sports. May it be any type of sports, we filipino have learnt to be the most supportive bunch throughout the years such as during Pacquiao's fights, Philippine basketball, bowling or billiards.
but now, we are all knocking on your doors to at least for 2 hours of your time this friday night, give your time to the Philippine National Football team in their quest to give more glory to the country as they take on Singapore in the first leg of a 2-leg semifinal encounter.
funny how in football we support international clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, Chelsea, AC Milan and more. but what's more funny than that is how we support other COUNTRIES during the world cup such as Brazil, Spain, England, Italy or France, more than we support our very own football team ---- the Philippine Azkals.
Ironic but true, yet it is not too late to show the world we care for our own, as how other countries have the passion to support their countries in this sport.
we have our very own NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM and this is what we should support first!!!
let us altogether support and pray for the Philippine National Team (Azkals) and show the world we love our own!
PINOY tayo! PILIPINAS ang bansa ko! PILIPINAS ang susuportahan ko!
