singapore was just happy kicking the ball to their half in the last 20minutes, they just park anything they have to secure their lead on aggregate. thailand have had about 15plus corners,

It did come true what i have speculated before. Avramovic and Duric did go with high note and style. Nothing so fancy about their team, its their attacking tactical setups brought by years of playing together. I still believe Azkals will dominate if they continue this current direction, but slowly.

i didn't expect singapore to win this tourney.. i actually thought thailand will easily win against them. Lucky for singapore they win.. skill wise, i think thailand was a better team, too bad nobody from thailand can put that 2nd goal.. if we only have a player as creative and as fast as jakapan.. that blonde guy is amazing.. but teerasil was a disappointment.. thought amri was simulating and diving too much.. it's not just angel guirado.. hehehe.. I don't know how avramovic did turn things on their side in this finals.. really good job by him to be able to beat thailand..i heard that avramovic is leaving singapore.. is there any chance we can get him??.. hehehehehe

to be honest i saw 3 handball specially from the sing side.to much diving as well amri is the best actor he should get a card for that.even the commentator did said that amri is diving to much, but where is the yellow card none.even for the handball besides the linesman didnt they didnt call it.i saw 3 handball but no call lalo na un katabi lng un linesman. How Ironic when we played against them they were calling angel Guirado as the diver...

Based on the final result of the Suzuki Cup, it can be said that any of the Azkals, Thailand or Singapore could have won the tournament. It was just a matter of luck. Each team have their strengths and weaknesses. The Azkals were very good in defense but not so prolific in scoring. Singapore has the edge in coaching(?) in the sense that they beat equal or even stronger team in Thailand and Philippines. Thailand was the tournament favorite but lost on luck and perhaps karma for playing dirty against us.

the decision of Singapore to park the bus early in the first half is very suicidal. they were fortunate that they only conceded one goal. it's very dangerous because you gave Thailand all the opportunity to attack and make an attempts, corner kicks and free kicks.
for me Thailand is a more better team but Singapore won it with a bit of luck on their side. i know we can beat Thailand and Singapore in any day

You Think? after seeing them at AFF Sukuki Cup??? They just "schooled" us...such belief is untimely and unrealistic. Not in the near future... maybe sa 2014 edition, pwede... You expect our level to even match at these two countries? Pls watch the replay guys in MUTE mode... then you will see how "fluid" and "harmonious" these teams have in conducting their offense.... compare them guys to our Azkals..... and you will see the great difference... effort lang ni Dangda vis-a-vis PYH or Angel or DWolf. Their MF against ours? I love our team, but im also realistic. Rome wasn't built in two years. So, we need more time to make it there... Just lower your expectation and belief muna... so you don't crash hard. Sabi ni lola: Mataas ang frustrations kung mataas ang expectations... and expectations are based on real facts. watch it in mute mode... then learn to open your eyes

strikerbon,
Im OK man... hehehe! there is a reason why I highlighted and underlined specific parts of your statement. "In any day" is quite boastful, irresponsible and very strong phrase to use. Especially when we just/recently got beaten by these teams.
"oh, even the champion team of Singapore got beaten twice by our team prior into this tourney. so do you think it is still unrealistic? and before i forgot, i didn't set any high expectations towards our team but losing to a team of Singapore is unacceptable for me"
hehehehe! do not put too much trust on the results of friendlies. A lot will tell you that it will not bear anything when it comes down to real tournaments. its a "laboratory", they say. The friendlies even backfired against us because according to the Singapore CB, it gave them a chance to check for loopholes of our defense.
The real test are in the tournaments, not in friendlies. we just got ours. and we failed.
But im not bitter about it. Look at the positive side... the only teams that have beaten us in the tournament are the teams that played for the finals. There's no shame to it, right?
hehehehhe! just accept the result. or even learn... many hearts are broken in the field of dreams... here's one for us.... and many more to come!!! but keep on dreaming and hoping and supporting... we will get there...

I just believed that strategies are a factor of capabilities.
aanhin mo ang magandang strategy if hindi mo naman kaya gawin...
Im not downplaying our players and our team... but through my MUTE mode... I REALLY SAW MAGIC AND BEAUTY ON HOW THESE TWO TEAMS PLAYED WITH EACH OTHER. THE STRATEGY WAS THE RIGHT ONE FOR THEIR SKILLS.. A PERFECT MARRIAGE (SKILLS + STRATEGY)... its the same thing that we miss...
it seems like the players have 3 or 4 pairs of eyes... to know exactly where to place the ball for a teammate to get it.... its a thing of beauty talaga
hope you can try doing it... MUTE MODE especially the other games of the AFF SUZUKI Cup... thats how coaches and technical/video sports analyst do...

gendirkI found something I agree with you with... that we miss (do not have) the good combination of skills and strategy that Singapore and Thailand have. Let me think.... hmmmmm... I wonder who or what is responsible for this. Any ideas?

that's the responsibility of our coaching staff, to implement a good strategy and make a play that's not unpredictable

But making a play that's not unpredictable? That makes it predictable and make the team vulnerable to counter-attacks! Use your logic! (just kidding.)
