UFL should put a cap on foreign players as it means local players would get a lot of opportunities, whether it would be as low as two or three per team..

it's been an upset week, Kaya beat Global 3-2 and Stallions celebrates as they are the 2013 UFL League champion, doubling their trophy after taking home the UFL cup trophy last year. i pity Global, Greatwich's penalty goal had change the tempo of the game. based from a replay, Carli didn't make a hard contact on Dagro that resulted for a controversial penalty. and Carli's late own goal killed the Global's chance of winning the back to back league title

A new winner in Stallions! Keeps the league balance as Global will be more hungry next year. Loyola and Kaya will surely upgrade. Hope the middle if the pack can have a chance, Pachanga, GAU, and PSG.

Ultras Kaya's at it again. tsk! This time a kid from GlobalForce was hurt by their antics. To intimidate the opponent & their fans is normal (taunts, jeers & chants, etc) but it gets alarming when there's a report of a person getting hurt physically.
If the league is really serious in attracting more fans & promoting football, things like this should be considered & prevented as early as now before incidents b/w fans escalate further.

hmmm foreign limit seems to harsh . what if reverse ang gawin ng UFL , how about put a minimum local talents sa team , lets 5 or 7 . local talents means , talents that came from their youth teams , academies or Universities . this would force club teams to form youth teams , cutting off foreigners to league would turn the league upside down , baka maging headless chicken league ang UFL . then they could recruit fil-foreigners from other countries but they will not be counted as local talents , this rule would force clubs to development its own grassroots programs , dahil pag inasa lang sa PFF yan baka medjo matagal pa ang aabutin nito. then sooner or later (maybe after 5 years ) local talents would replace foreign talents ,

want some fresh Rumors ? Here we go loanee/s might not return to its motherclub (a lot of them). A top tier team is on massive rebuilt for next season , might only retain 6 to 8 players from this years team. A huge huge company might back up club that is the verge or promotion . A loan to some mid level club might happened to (former azkal/s) then another hostile takeover( pachanga - diliman style ) might take place for team .
then lots of sponsorship rumors. expectation next season some richer clubs as some major companies are looking at football as another venue of ads or team sponsorship. includes , cargo , bank , real estate , IT company , airline , business conglomerate , beverage (includes alcohol drinks ) , milk , juice drink .

As it will give the local players a chance to prove themselves. If you field more foreign players to play. Then you are helping/ giving a favor to his country to be more good at football. If you want more foreigners playing football, why don't you just watch EPL or La Liga. Look at mexican league for example. Since they put limits with their foreigners, they have increased their level in playing football and their players are being scouted in other countries/continents like europe.

But giving a locals playing only wouldn't lift there game , they need quality opponents first . I mean this foreigners doesn't bring the gwapo looks or what so over , but they bring different dimensions and qualities to the game , that might rivaled international football . in order to produce quality grassroots , you need a good quality league , not a headless chicken league , I mean yes I'm in favor for the foreign limit , but not now , maybe after 5 years after there are some products from the grassroots . sana wag foreign limit , dapat minimum filipino locals per team . what I mean about locals , is players from youth academy / philippine based schools , so that clubs will be "Forced" to developed local based talents wag aasa lang sa fil - foreign recruits . lets say the start would be 5 filipino locals . then bahala na ang rest . kahit mag recruit sila ng foreigners or fil - foreigners atleast ma foforced ang big clubs na mag developed ng sariling grassroots . then later on this numbers would be go as the grassroots talents will emerge replacing some foreign talents . sana wag biglain ng UFL na limit of 5 foreign per team . what should they do is , to force each UFL team to form youth teams to developed football talents - just like Germany .

Please keep in mind that the UFL is trying to abide with AFC regulations in order to go up the ladder in international club competition. It would lower the level of play and make it a "headless chicken league" as you say, but the AFC (note:Asian clubs) have to impose a limit on number of foreign players with the intention to produce local talent (which IMO is a little counterproductive when the club has prominent players from other continental confederations like the CONCACAF or CAF). Eventually the UFL will have to abide that in order to compete internationally. Not only that, the UFL will have to make sure they can advance to the AFC Cup and the AFC Champions League. And do you know the regulations the AFC imposes? One of those is that the league has to be a full national league, and another one - clubs have to be named after a geographical location, which can be difficult to do in our setting, at least right now.

Stallions will answer that question and it's up to them what they'll gonna do. they need to scout some local players here in Mindanao or perhaps in Visayas
