I was sitting beside Bob G during the match, it was evident that the lads were ill prepared and lacked the depth (and obviously the budget) especially with the forwards (HK and JPN bullied us from the scrum up to the line outs). One thing positive I can take from these games are that we're giving the more caps for the players, a larger pool for the coming tournaments in the future.
PRFU said that Japan Rugby Football Union didn't like the UMak pitch so PRFU had to settle with the Southern Plains pitch in far-flung Canlubang. The pitch is actually superb in quality, all it needed were permanent stands since its only the training facility for the team. The fans, to be honest with you guys, it was eerily quiet the whole match and there more expats and visiting Japanese fans are present compared to the pinoys unlike last year's tournament.

although its really great to hope for the best, i do believe we should not count our eggs before they've hatched. Its a tough road for our lads despite being a minnow's cup in AFC.

The lion rampart symbolizes our past with Spain, its freakin' Spain (FC Barcelona, la liga, iker casillas)!!! why would you remove it? Our past with Spain for what colonizing us? then you forgot to put a logo for Japan and United states also just to make it sense. He who does not know how to look back at where he came from will never get to his destination. - Jose Rizal

Boys are in SG for the weekend for the Singapore 7's tourney while the Ladies are in Pune, India for the Pune 7's rugby tournament. Hoping both of our teams bring home the silverware like they always do.
