dami talagang wrong picks sa selection. tas yung iba, di gamay yung position na nilalaro nila ngayon. the coaching staff better find a solution to our weak right flank or else, goodbye medals na.

expected naman na matatalo talo sa Vietnam, we lacked endurance and cohesion and i was totally shocked at Manny Ott's blaster goal...nakakafrustrate yung own goal, parang gumunaw yung mundo ko, well that's football, anything can happen...i hope makakabawi tayo sa Timor Leste, minnows in the tournament..

Tama nakakagunaw talaga feeling ng own goal. Myanmar parang eto yung next problem para sa NT natin.

mukang di naman pang minnow ang timor leste. i read somewhere, they have 4 professional players at may foreign-born din. we should take care of our weakest point muna - that's our right flank or left back - before we make expectations of winning over some assumed weaker teams. IMHO, hindi makakatulong yun sa players natin na isipin nila na madali lang yung ibang kalaban. dapat lagi nilang iisipin na each game is the last battle they will be in and that they should win, no matter what.

The team should go over the Vietnam match to learn from their mistakes, identify weaknesses and correct them in preparation for the match against Timor Leste.
Considering that we are supposed to be a stronger team than Timor Leste, this is going to be a tricky match for us. Our problems is in defence, many gaps and our offside trap leaves much to be desired. This is heaven for a team that will play on the counter. Considering the preference of our Coach for an attacking style of play, Timor Leste might invite our team to come at them and play a high line and then hit us on the counter. Timor Leste just needs to beat our trap a few times and take their chances and we'll be in trouble.
We got to be patient and play smart against Timor Leste.

was there today . regretable but expected loss .team fell apart second half after the 1-1 . vietnam was better and adjusted their game nicely when they found our weak spot . i still feel that we had a chance to win this if we could have made the 2-0, vietnam would have fallen apart . today our leftside was not really good . but no need to blame anyone for a bad game, that can happen to everybody . what also is not in our advantage : a couple of players with jetlag , don't underestilmate the travelling they have to do and then the adjustment to the temperature . hot, humid and no wind , that for players who are used to european condition . defensively we could have done a much better job, but you can only grow as a defense if you play together for some time, and they only had a few practice games to tune themselves . as i see there are not many options for changes here . i expect a better team for the second game; a few restdays and time to work on weak points . i watched myanmar and laos, and these teams we can handle : both their defenses and keepers are also not very solid, but they have good attackers . keygame will be the next one: how we will perform against timor leste . a win can put everything on track . don't forget that we have a very young team, vietnam has more experienced players . this team will be better in 2 years ;

hartman is out of position really. i think he has the skills and he already showed it before. who else do we have at the cb position? cmon wise! hartman on the defense? make use of his talents in the midfield.

Thanks for the insight bigfoot. The perspective in a live match is way better than on TV as you get to see how the whole team is positioned on the pitch.
You mentioned the European conditions, I could see how the humidity and heat could have been a factor for the Euro based players, plus jet lag. Probably explains why our players seemed sluggish compared to the Vietnamese. Shouldn't be an excuse though in my opinion. Brings to mind the Japan training camp, the climate there isn't as hot and humid as in Indonesia either. Anyway, they got 4 days to acclimatise further before the next match.

this is what i don't like... we always bring up excuses whenever we lose. clearly, we've just let the other team capitalize on our weak points, didn't make the necessary adjustments in time and so... we lost. what we should do is look at the game again with utmost objectivity, check for our mistakes and make strategies on how to fix those and work around our weak points if we think we cannot contain them.

I'd say Muller was the man of the match, many great saves! especially the one that Viet striker who is going for a close up goal and it was successfully deflected by Muller at 75th minute I think, great save!! the game was not a disaster at all, expected na eh. In order to get more points, tambakin ang Timor Leste,Laos,Brunei at Myanmar.
Sana the game started with Brunei,Timor Leste, Myanmar,Laos at lastly Vietnam, para maka-gain tayo ng momentum sa game natin. Even we won against the 4 then we lost to Viet, at least secured tayo sa standings.

to "rvac " : muller did not need to run and was very good, carly had the more "easy" right side as most attacks were on the other side and manny needed to be replaced . christiaens can play better, he also had a 3 day travel behind him (he was with me) and hardly slept . that is 1/3 of the team . but you're right about the need to try to fix things during the game, that's what the coach did : drinkuth was brought in to reinforce the left flank, not much effect, then the coach tried to switch matthew and leonora moved to the center . it worked on the wing but it made the center weaker . leonara was not playing his best game today; positioning was bad, not sharp enough, not attentive for offside positioning...he could maybe have taken out leonora but who should replace him on that position ?? we also need to improve our passing game, we lost to fast possesion when we got it and attacks kept on coming giving no breathing time for the defense ; we met the better team today and that was it, i'm sure we can beat them but then we have to step up . now it's up to the team to show what they can

Just a thought.. look at us get mad & frustrated with the loss against Power house team Vietnam when during the past we were contented of not being blown out by 5 to 8 goals to the point in not participating in the football event since for us it was just futile.. look at us now! It was a sad loss but i think we have to give props to the boys despite the loss. we quite knew that we would lose against Vietnam, even the coach admitted it. i think the 1st goal gave us a glimmer of hope and the thought that we might actually win the match & caused the ill feeling after the defeat. but anyway, back to the game, we really need to address a lot of issues with the the team. they looked sluggish since the start, they don't even try to fight for the ball or cut passes. they were just waiting and it was very frustrating to watch. the only players i saw playing well were Muller, carli, christaens, Jacques VB and OJ Porteria. our passes were very predictable too. well i'm no expert, i just hope the coach will work on the weaknesses he saw during the game. we still have a long way to go. the team can still make amends, and work more on their cohesion. I'm still hoping the best for the team. It's up to them to step up and make things happen.. can't wait for the next matches.. (by the way, i'm hoping that our basketball team would murder Vietnam in their match if ever they would meet.. just for revenge. LOL!!)
