looks like timor leste has better foreign breeds than ours... Football is not really about how good the players are, Its about the Teamwork. Then they have better foreign breeds and better teamwork... especially there MFs and FWs... lets hope timor leste beats Myanmar or Vietnam...

I agree with Shanks608. It's really noticeable that the boys played better with great passing after the Hartmanns are out. I,m not saying that the Hartmanns are not doing well but it's just an observation. The boys are not just so lucky to convert those chances. It's a nice game for Timorese as they depended the lead up to the final whistle which the azkals can't hardly make. agree..bumilis nga ang azkals nung nawala yung 2 hartmans.para kasing slow motion kung kumilos yung dalawang yun. tsaka mas ramdam mo ang urgency sa mga kilos nung mga pumalit. talo man ang azkals, but i think their game is slowly picking up...di man makapasok sa semis, at least this would be a very good experience for all of them

Let's put it this way. Areola may be convinced to play for the senior team, but there's no way Areola plays in the SEA Games. He's way above that.

Muller Carli -- JVB -- Leonora -- Christaens Porteria-- JDJ -- Ott -- Clarino/ Drinkuth Beloya Valmayor I say no more experiments. We've got a real defender in Basa, give the kid a try instead of Strikers or mids playing out of position. Its 2 games now and my band wagon riding butt, can see that the Matt at CB experiment is not working. Carli'll be out next game too, so thats gonna be a big big hit for the team and defense.

I'm still recovering from utter disbelief that we were beaten by Timor Leste by the same gameplan we executed during Suzuki Cup 2010. Hayyy... pardon me. Inasmuch I'd like to search for the bright side of the utcome of the game but I'll be hypocrite to say "OK lang yan". RI'm really disappointed, not to the players, but to the...you know who.
Next time, I wish PFF would really invest in hiring a better coach for our National Team. Besides, ala nga naman puro si Mr. Palami lang ang mag-aabono para sa development ng Azkals. No wonder Mr. Palami does not have the choice but deal with the current coach which came for free/donation with the Bundesliga footbal aid.

@ Tiggy that's the spirit the best part of the game was that goal celebration of Porteria and de Jong The choreo celebration dance cracked me up. Shows these are very young players who knows how enjoy and have fun with each other. Its great to see them have that rapport with each other. After the SEA games, I hope the coaching staff will let us know why they only brought 5 defenders. I hope its not politics at play.

Ph vs Timor --> Disappointing result
I think this just shows that they currently have a better youth program than us (or just better foreign recruits). We, on the other hand, started at the top of the age brackets with our attempt at promoting a league (the UFL). I think that's fine since we do have existing youth tournaments, but the players don't have a place to "graduate" to when they reach adulthood.
I think it would be good for the UFL to require youth teams in their clubs, and also start a youth club league.

Also our Senior NT is also improving.
