I'm going to watch the replay tonight @ 10 on AKTV.... LAKAS PINAS
when was the last time we won against Laos on any level? in last years qualifiers for the suzuki cup azkals actually scored another late goal from James Younghusband to salvage a draw against the same team...

Not taking away anything from the comeback, but its still was a pretty scrappy game.
Conceded the lead early again, lost a man, and we had to wait until the end when Laos was getting nervy and running out of steam. Those 2 goals could have come earlier in the half if only we were playing just a bit better. It was a lucky break, so I hope they make the most out of it for the next few games and really play well.
Admittedly, I was writing off the game just as Beloya scored the winner. I guess now people have been introduced to a football buzzerbeater

what an awesome game...this was just magic! i only saw the second half but i can say the u23-azkals never gave up and always believed in themselves. beloya obv the man of the match but that service from oj for the first second goal was the gamechanger!

distance7 I know.. It was indeed a lucky break!! they should really change their style of play.. They should quit those long balls! they were able to make those plays because of their excellent passing.. I would credit Mark Hartmann on this game for that excellent anticipation and unselfish pass.. I'm just enjoying the moment right now. you don't see that type of comeback often..

Agree, it was scrappy, but I'll still take it :-). And agree that those goals all did not come from long balls. On a funny hindsight, either coach saw how Valmayor got really hurt, the reason why he got rested, or he has this intuition that Beloya would make two consecutive goals.

muller carli-van bosche-leonora-angheles - dejong-
porteria - ott- jefrey hartmann beloya
what do you think? angheles is fast and built for a side back, I guess he was solid during 2nd half vs laos.

Who needs energy drink when you all need is that kind of win. You gotta love the heart of the filipino, we're down to 10 men, down 1 with the clock winding down and even the 1st choice captain went down to leave the team but we managed to upset Laos. We are losing the game but we are still expecting a win. Wow! Feels like the win against Vietnam last year. All kinds of awesome!

guys I was shouting for joy, I think I was the only one watching in my area, haha! To be honest I sort of felt we might win even with 2 min left on injury. Why? 11-11-11-11 hahahaha!!!!! Obviously Beloya is the hero tonight but kudos to Mark Hartmann he was the passer(I'm almost sure, I taped the game, gonna watch it again later) for the winning goal! And guess what? IT WAS FROM OUR HATED LONG PASS!! The second goal was from OJ to Mark H. to Beloya! Basa played well but he was subbed by #24 Angeles. If you wanted to know: (1)Muller (16)Hinrichsen-----(4)JvB-----(27)Leonora-----(15)Basa (17)deJong (20)JeffC--------------------(7)OJ Porteria (8)Ott
(9)OJ Clarino
(28)Valmayor * not 100% sure, will change when I watch the game again. * it looked like Jeff C flipped flopped position in the first half, I gotta recheck. Subs: 34' (11)Beloya for Valmayor 46' (24)M? Angeles for Basa 55' (23)Mark H. for OJ Clarino Goal 6' Ott Goal 89' Beloya Goal 92' Beloya Yc 54' JvB Yc 55' Hinrichsen Yc 60' Hinrichsen The BAD: Coach once again forced a midfielder who struggled last game to the OTHER side! Result? 2 yellows from bad tackles. What was Fernandez for decoration? Great win for the kids!!!!

where are the bashers?? where are you guys??? the coach sucks, bring back macca, bring back mcmenemy.. the players sucks, this should be the defensive formation, this should be the offensive formation, this player should be playing, this player should be substituting that.... etc...etc.....just what i thought, if the team wins, everything is good...
