tombucho let us all enjoy the win, don't be a sore winner, we're all on the same side aren't we?
And no not everything is alright. Hinrichsen(a midfielder) who struggled at LB last game was now at RB. Guess what? He struggled again with shadowing/controlling his side AND bad tackling and got red carded. R Fernandez was in the game roster, he is a real defensive player, so no, not everything is "good".
This is a forum this is a place to disagree(or agree to disagree). FYI, I feel happy for the coach for finally winning, but I still think he needs to improve the system he is instituting for the team(do you consider this bashing?).

muller carli-van bosche-leonora-angheles - dejong- porteria - ott- jefrey hartmann beloya what do you think? angheles is fast and built for a side back, I guess he was solid during 2nd half vs laos. Carli is suspended bro, it was Patrick Hinrichsen, the kid who got a Red card.

I'm glad that the captaincy was given to Jason de Jong.
...and with a win from this VERY YOUNG "under 23" team, I can now say that our grassroots program has a bright future.

I havent even watched the game yet. But i was very happy when i read the news that the azkals won and how they won the game makes it much more satisfying. As I have always been saying in this forum, there's just too much expectations being put on this team, and even philippine football as a whole. We are soooo very very very very very far from where everyone expects us to be. So maybe we could give the team some slack and let them be.

After 3 games each for Group B Teams... Group-B standing_GD_PtsMyanmar_5_7 Vietnam_4_7 Timor Leste_0_6 Philippines_-2_3Laos_-2_1 Brunei_-5_1 Remaining Games for Group B: 12 Nov 2011 16:00 Brunei vs Vietnam 13 Nov 2011 16:00 Philippines vs Myanmar / 19:00 Timor Leste vs Laos 15 Nov 2011 16:00 Myanmar vs Timor Leste / 19:00 Philippines vs Brunei17 Nov 2011 16:00 Laos vs Vietnam Our chances now is really very slim for semis; unless upsets/draws happen against 2 of the top 3 teams at least (that includes Azkals beating Myanmar) and Myanmar draw with Timor Leste in their last game. Then we have a big chance going to the semis if we won our last game against Brunei. We need another miracle like what we have earlier. For me, i'll be content winning both remaining games, especially against Myanmar, entering the semis will be just Icing on the Cake!

HUWAW!!! At first I turn off my tv to play PS2 when Laos is leading but my brother told me that WE WON!!! I can't believe we won hehehe I thought our game is OVER ;D
Now for their next game: In order for them to advance even though its slim They must win the last 2 games. I'm still nervous against Myanmar. I hope we could upset them so that we could now finally beat them since we haven't beat Myanmar before. Only a draw is highest achievement of our team against them. For the game agaist Brunei, I think they can win against them JUST CONTINUE BELIEVING Hoping that the other teams will have a favorable result for us

Experience gain during this tournament is very important, yes qualifying to semis is a plus but anything is still possible.

We are soooo very very very very very far from where everyone expects us to be. So maybe we could give the team some slack and let them be. Unfortunately, we cannot "let them be" they have chosen to represent us, they've taken that responsibility. But if a coach is obviously lacking, the nation they represent WILL make noises. If a team member has a "prissy fit" the nation WILL make noises. Do you expect the nation to sit idly by while the team that represent them crumble into anonymity? What sport do you see where fans sit there and do not complain about a player that is not performing or a coach doing the same? This is why the rest of us are here. Because we are fans and care about the team. This is a FORUM where people do argue (hopefully in a MATURE MANNER) you should accept that or perhaps this is not a place you should be? btw, when I said we are all on the same side, I meant we root for the U23 team. Although obviously we have different levels of contentment with coach, players and tactics, BUT we are all still rooting for the team.

After a dismal 2 games for Mark H, he redeemed himself today. I hope he has more to offer against the next few opponents. Feel bad for JeffC. He looked like he's almost always on the way to score but just can't finish, maybe it will be his time soon. Manny Ott German precision!
