Just a thought...
The inconsistent substitution patterns and positional "experimentation" has got to stop. Play a center back at center back, a midfielder at midfielder, defender in defense etc freakin' etc!!!
Kudos to the team. There was no quit in them, I'm proud of ALL of the players!

i'm surprised Beloya was only fielded up on the 60 min.? i was hoping he will be with Valmayor on starting 11. Clariño played super but could've been nice if he turned even one of he's attempts to a goal. exhausting day! to start Spain lost to Egland and Pacquiao didn't KO Marquez...

Seriously, introducing Beloya in the middle part of the 2nd half after scoring twice in the previous game?? He could have made a good impact in that game if only he was introduced earlier in the game or perhaps if he was a starter, after he was introduced in the match against Myanmar, in less than a minute Beloya already had a shot on goal.

I feel for the boys they played their heart out there. They played with pride and did not throw the towel even though we were down 4 goals to nil and then the final nail on the coffin with the 5th goal a few seconds before the final whistle. I so wanted the to sneak in a consolation goal just for their hard work on the field. It was pretty much even in terms of possession sadly we can't capitalize on the goals we had on target.
I don't understand why Hartmann and Beloya did not start to capitalize the momentum they had at the last match.
Muller, Ott (and I'm not sure on Carli) won't be able to play on the next game with Brunei.

Shoot! just found out that we were outclassed 5-0 against myanmar.. I only saw the 1st half.. I think the coach should have started with Beloya, Hartmann and Basa.. They were effective in the last match. I don't know what his game plan was.. but i know it didn't work. oh well! goodbye SEA Games.. and with Muller out the next match I hope Pascual steps up and show us what he's got.. It's a sad day for Philippine sports today.. morning started with a controversial win for Pacman and ended with a beating of our U23 from Myanmar.. Good Effort by the boys.. Let's just do better on the next SEA Games with most of the players still eligible to play.. I still have high hopes for this team..

There's no question our boys have the skills and the talent individually but our coaching team needs to work on making us a better organized team which Myamar is in this match.
With us out of contention, and the coaching team saying their medal goals are for the 2013 SEAG, I hope by that time, we will be able to field a settled back 4. And we will bring an adequate number of defenders.
Still proud of the boys.

We won on Lucky 11 and We lost on 13? hmmm numbers have luck? LOL ;D Anyway too bad we lost. Better luck next time. good exposure na rin yan for the youth team.
I hope in the future we have a strong senior and youth teams So that we are competitive. Para masulit ung mga international friendlies tulad ngaun nov 11 to 15. sana naglaro ang senior team against other countries at youth team for sea games. pero sa future pa mangyayari un. WINNING IN BRUNEI WILL END THEIR CAMPAIGN THERE in 4th place kung sakali

what else can i say? hands down for our boys for not giving up despite that there were some who played out of position. and need i emphasize more that our coaching sucks? WTH was he (weiss) is thinking? that the game was an experiment? jeez! benching your top scorer from the previous match (beloya) and fielding him only on the 60th minute of the 2nd half? and how about the other (hartmann) who played very well with the top scorer and gave him terrific assists? binangko ng matagal tas pinasok lang sila pareho nung tambak na tayo. tas si de jong na sana eh napakinabangan sa midfield, ayun at ginawang centerback when we have a natural CB in fernandez (who came in as a sub for leonora kaya naging LB naman si de jong). tas bakit si basa di nagstart (parang di nga pinasok, not so sure, i was so pissed off the whole game kaya di na masyadong na-pay attention ito)? he played decently naman the last game so this is another question mark for me.
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay..... sobrang heartbreaker itong larong to. di naman ako umasang manalo against myanmar pero yung nabokya tayo? deym!!!

I'm not against the coaching staff or I don't even have enough knowledge in football to question the way they handle the U23, but I don't really understand why they are fielding players out of positions knowing that we have the right players to fill that position? I started to think that those reserve are maybe there just to comply to the requirements?
I think everyone here will agree that it's not the right time to experiment in time of competition...
My respect and continued support to the boys who give their all for this campaign.

What was he (Weiss) thinking?!? You know guys, those who have seen my post can never say I'm rabid anti, "this coach" and I'm still not. But we can certainly agree for this series of games: Placing players at their 'unnatural' positions when there are others who have grown up playing that position is, shall we say. disastrous. Maybe in practice, but the real game?? What kind of morale will the players have when they play the game of their lives and then leadership decide NOT to start them, or sub them in when the game is almost out of reach?? I saw Leonora, a kid I was and still am high on, play undisciplined and out of position against Vietnam. This is a disciplinary matter. Can't the coach handle his players, or has some of them "tuned" him out already?? I saw Barbaso a "capper" and arguably the best young defender who is a local product, not included in the pool. I saw Basa, a capper, who is inserted in the lineup as an afterthought, who did not seem "ineffective" then sat down again so the "leadership" can put a holding midfielder in his place. I saw R Fernandez, a guy the "leadership" has admitted he was high on(interview during the ICanServe tourney) and left to rot at the bench. A real defender forgotten, when we needed him most. I saw the result of this defensive experimentation result in a 5-0 defeat! Thanks 'leadership' did you find the right mix of out-of-position players to effectively sabotage our game? I hope most of these kids would come back for the next SEAG series and that we haven't lost others who want to play for the team because of this "leadership" debacle. For the BOYS:Win one against Brunei boys! At least you go home on a positive note. Even if the man in charge will start a midfielder at center back and not start the best striker for God knows what reason. Fight hard, fight for yourselves and for your country, fight for your long suffering fans. Maybe next time you come back, someone else will be in charge, someone dependable. Someone like all of you! And for the poster I had a 'conversation' before: No our players are not Messi or Ronaldho or whoever. BUT neither are our opponents.

I agree with you Wiking!! Though there are some players that can play a lot of positions.. there are players that would become INEFFECTIVE on a different position. I'm NO football expert but a player who is a Natural in that position would be more effective than those players who has more experience but is playing out of place. It all goes down to Instincts.. That's what happened to our team. a lot were playing ineffectively.. I don't want to bring down any players coz they worked their assess off during the games.. It's just that they become less effective because of the unfamiliarity of the position. look at Patrick Hinrichsen and Matt Hartmann. Yes we know they got skills and more experience but with them playing on Defense they were ineffective. Basa on the other hand, who may not be that good as our Euro players was playing steadily on his position. The combination of Porteria, Mark Hartmann and Beloya was the best i've seen.. why didn't the coach started with them. The confidence level of those guys were very high. he should have capitalized on that... I don't want to blame anyone but the results were just frustrating!
