Fegidero, Caligdong and Araneta are of the same level and just good for local tournaments. They don't have the necessary class and level for international competitions. I am sorry for those players fanboys, just saying a fact. What we need are wingers that could go bombing down the sidelines and forwards with a good killer instinct and a good aerial prowess. Greatwitch and Gould can fit the bill and let the YHs play midfield.

... -with due respect to you bro., as for me, what we really need in our Azkals team is an Azkal with a dedication, with a big heart for our TEAM. we dont really need those with a talent in their heads but without a heart for the team. due respect for you bro also but as for the moment that we really need is talent, big heart could come in later when football in the country is established. i am just pragmatic, big heart won't score goals but talent will. we really need a scoring machine now, especially a poacher that feeds off the scraps from the YH brothers. Against Indonesia, that lack is really evident. Araneta might score hat-tricks, but those are against naked teams but against a team with a semblance of defense, he goes kaput ;D

A bit off...can anyone tell me if the matches on February will be televised and available online? I'm from the US and had to pay $10 to watch the AFF Suzuki Cup on AFC-Tv, so I wonder if the same will happen or if other stations (online tv) will be showing the games. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Go Azkals! If it is going to be aired on either gma, abs or studio23.I already know some links of streams in those channels ;D I'll post links here before the game

I definitely agree with vimjonk, we need a goal poacher in the team, the Michael Owen'ish type when he was still at his younger days.

i believe in Ian Araneta, he is very good header of the ball. At least he should be included in the bench. He is an important player

I had the opportunity to watch the game against east timor (who happens to be the weakest portugese speaking football team in the world, imo), Ian definitely was everywhere, and that was a good thing. However, I would have to agree with the handful who said we need another dominant presence up front. Might not be for the game against Mongolia (which I honestly think we need to win with a whopping margin otherwise we will end up having problems in Mongolia.
P.S. Should anyone be interested with going to Mongolia, be informed that our passports allows us to go there without a visa. Only thing that we would need is a transit visa via china or south korea (or fly from hkg).

When can we expect the final roster for the Challenge Cup? From the other thread it says that Elhabib got their papers already. No news about Schrock,Cagara and Lucena I think they wont make it.

Accdg. to some reports, Schrock, Cagara and Lucena will be here right about the same time as Etheridge since they dont have to go through the try-outs. As for the Elhabib brothers, I have heard alot of great things about these 2 fine men that I can't wait to call them Filipinos!
@caz, will it be broadcasted online though? There isnt any TFC here where I live in the US

Wow, for a country with more than 90 million people, we still have to recourse to naturalization just to strengthen our team?? So much for criticizing Indonesia for Gonzales. I hope PFF goes easy on this.

I hope PFF goes easy on this. There is nothing wrong with "naturalization". They did the try-outs, if they are qualified skill wise and they have their papers right, let them play. They are not breaking any rules.
