"Every cloud has a silver lining" Funny, social media has turned all of a sudden to a lovefest between Pinoy and Thai fans. At least there is a silver lining in our loss. It is good for diplomatic relations between the 2 ASEAN neighbors.

Would be nice if we can host the 2016 Group Stage.

Would be nice if we can host the 2016 Group Stage. We have already been awarded the group stage for the 2016 Suzuki Cup. It was announced earlier this year.

Indeed, the 2016 Suzuki Cup is a huge opportunity to bring focus to the sport of football, not just the national team. Having it in the Philippine Stadium will bring a sense of escapism since it's way outside of Manila. Like traveling to Disneyland. Everyone will be going to football-world, have a fantastic time, then go home back to reality with a longing to go back. I think that's how marketing should be approached.

It is good for diplomatic relations between the 2 ASEAN neighbors. Well, not entirely. A few Thais are still making bad jokes against the PH players being "half-bred" in their own language. (Ugh, racist backstabbers... ) Other nationalities, especially Indonesians, are still sour against the Filipino fans on social media after that "embarrassing" loss.

Thailand put on a passing clinic and dominated the match. I am not surprised. They have beaten quite a few good teams in Asia with this young squad. 3-0 Thailand over the Philippines. Nevertheless, I think Dooley did a good job for the Azkals considering the circumstances. He should be allowed to continue. The Philippines is missing quite a few players from this competition starting with their top 2 goaltenders, Etheridge and Muller, their 2nd best striker Patino, as well as former Bundesliga veterans Schrock and Cagara. I think we can do better in the WC qualifiers, if we will have all our players available. Who is to blame that we are missing Etheridge, Schrock and Cagara? As a manager, you protect your players not just yourself. What Dooley did is throw them under the bus.
Don't use the excuse of we don't have these players because root cause of that is Dooley!.
SCHROCK and some other players are never been available during SUZUKI CUP so they are out of this story.

I Still feel bad for SATO he didn't get a chance to stay in the game yes he had few missed passes and bad fouls but let him stay for few more minutes he's been one of our strength on the Left side, after he goes out that's the time Thais exploited our back line, because the one who replaced him is not even a full back. So everyone needs to cover the left side bad thing our right side was exploited. I Am waiting for Daniels to come in Or Greatwich. Anyway Still congratulations and mabuhay azals.

Sato together with Steuble are the most passionate Players of the team. I am wondering if their fervor in future stints with national team will be affected by debacles of the past three tournaments. Will they change ? and just get on with the flow like some players of the team?

No disrespect to Deyto. . . It's no brainer that Thailand's first goal is unstoppable whoever our keeper was... If either Muller or Etheridge had manned the post could they stop the 2nd and 3rd goals?

someone should slap PFF and tell them that football's powerbase is in Visayas, not Luzon, not NCR. A national football stadium should be in Iloilo not in Manila. That way you can sort out the bandwagoners from the true fans. By the way, I'm from the NCR. Visayas crowd always create quite an atmosphere & they don't have to be ultras/kaholeros to produce that. Hope in the next edition, some games would be held there if not all. Iloilo, Bacolod or Cebu, i bet they would proudly take the challenge to be the one to host the Group stage games.

Considering that we are hosting one of the group stages of the 2016 Suzuki Cup, it should be held in the Visayas. Not only is the support there much stronger, it is also accessible to supporters from Mindanao as the Visayas is in the center of the country. It's not only the crowd atmosphere and support that is important, the sight of full stadiums is also one good way of convincing sponsors to invest in the game. They need to see the potential of the market. An image of a half filled stadium is not as compelling as one that is jam-packed.

All i can say is we need Coach Dooley for the Azkals and also we need our best players to play again for the Azkals(Patino, Schrock, Cagara, Etheridge)and convince Mike Ott, Kevin Ingreso, Stephan Palla and Yuji Takahashi to play for the Azkals. So it's up to Dan palami to make that reunion.
Dooley's good system + best Azkals player = AFC SUZUKI CUP Champion, Asian Cup Stint and maybe not impossible World Cup stint

Just to get back to the Suzuki Cup which isn't over yet by the way, Vietnam is down 1-4 to Malaysia and it is only the first half. I only went to check the score and could hardly believe it. Now I got to watch the second half. Vietnam is now trailing 3-5 on aggregate to Malaysia who has 4 away goals. Didn't see this coming after watching their first leg.
The Vietnamese team is being booed by their home support.
