Im totally stoked about the upcoming FIFA World Cup. Probably my dark horses to qualify in each group are: Group A: Mexico (I love watching Javier Hernandez play in Man Utd) Group B: Chile (Arturo Vidal is world class) Group C: Greece (Their defense is almost impenetrable and Kostas Mitroglu helps a lot) Group D: England (Tough sledding for England but added youth might do the trick: Shaw, Barkley, Henderson, Wilshere, Sterling) Group E: Switzerland (Biased because I am a fan of Xherdan Shaqiri) Group F: Bosnia-Herzegovina (Their first appearance, they have to make an impression. Dzeko is a scorer no doubt) Group G: Ghana (The Black Stars have a lot of talent at Midfield, each capable of scoring: Essien, Muntari, Asamoah, Boateng, Atsu) Group H: Russia (Chemistry is there as almost all their players came from the Russia Premier League) Just in: Landon Donovan will not be a part of the USA team this June: www.usatoday.com/story/sports/soccer/worldcup/2014/05/22/us-final-23-man-roster-brazil-landon-donovan-excluded-jurgen-klinsmann/9457159/

It's between Barcelona teammates Messi and Neymar who could be a star of the tournament.

De Maria is playing really well this season let alone Messi, this should be a very exciting Argentina team we are about to see. NED-ESP later, a must watch game.

Congratulations to Filipino Canadian Jonathan de Guzman for the Netherlands 5-1 victory today in the World Cup. He started in right midfield for the Dutch, fulfilling his dream of playing in the World Cup and his team, made a major statement today by dominating the defending cup champion by such a huge margin.

I couldn't believe at first when I saw the news ticker with that scoreline early this morning. Watching the replay, the Dutch patience and strategy against Spain's paid off. Made me wonder if we can do long balls like that effectively. Had Jonathan de Guzman not have a yellow card early in the match, maybe he would have stayed longer. Anyway, celebration in our HO for this win. LOL!

Long balls can be very effective if the receiving end have excellent first touches control and a superb dribbler. Van Persie and Robben have these qualities.

Holland's stars really played like one! van Persie and Robben had exquisite goals. The announcer said it right, Spain had stars but Holland played as a team. Funny thing was it could have been a bigger loss except for Casillas' late game heroics.
This game is definitely going to be remembered.

Three goals made by the Orangemen, Casillas is partly to blame. Big mistakes committed by him.

casillas was having difficulty the whole season with his form. we might see a different goalie on the sticks the next game. spain lost their first game against the swiss 2010 wc and still became champs.
