What can you expect using accomplished and veterans players? There's nothing more to prove. The addition of Diego Costa did not help their cause either. The switch of Diego Costa from Selecao to play for La Roja condemned them as the most hated team by host Brazilian fans.. As you had seen everytime Costa have touches in the pitch it was responded by thundering boos and jeers by the home fans..

The over-hyped England is out. I'm not surprised as I expected them not to advance to next round. ..

2 matches on, France is tactically magnificent... I am impressed... Now I believe when several pundits predicted before the start of World Cup that France is a darkhorse in this tournament. . They are, indeed.

The early exits of Spain, England and Italy will likely effect FIFA's targeted revenues in this tournament. These three countries are among front-runners in football economics as they hosted the world's top premier leagues. Aggravating these revenues losses is the premature vacation of football's top drawer CR7.

Really, really surprised with Colombia's progress. I thought without Falcao they don't stand a chance. James(rodrigue) is a revelation, bailing them from early exit.

Who do you think is most pitted to be the next Ronaldo? James (Rodriguez) or Memphis (Depay)?

Holland should not take Mexico lightly. This Mexican, La Verde side is mentally and physically tough. A hard nut to crack. 2 factors first, they are accustomed to weather and the other is the large travelling fans' support. It's no wonder Brazil had difficulty in dealing with them in group stage as they only escaped the Matadores' wrath with a draw. Cohesive wise, Mexicans are also quite impressive. 9 of their players are part of the 2012 Olympic winning team. And their keeper, Ochoa is awesome.
