I am reading that many are saying that Rizal has already been chosen? Any official confirmation from PFF? or news article? Or simply a misunderstanding among fans here? Hope this can be clarified. I'm from Bacolod and would be very proud for my city to host another match of the Azkals. As already stated by other members here, through thick or thin, or sa hirap at ginhawa, without TV coverage, when most of you here didn't know anything about the Azkals, Bacolod has always been there for our national team. And Panaad has proven so many times that it is fitting to be the "home" of the Azkals. Just like the Wembley Stadium for England, the Bung Karno for Indonesia, or the King Bhumidol Statidium of the Thais. But given our situation now where football is finally getting the attention it deserves in this country--- a situation I am truly grateful for as a longtime fan of football and our national team, I vote for Rizal Stadium. Football has gone a lot bigger, beyond Bacolod, beyond Panaad, beyond the Visayas. Surely, it would be a wonderful favor for Philippine football to have home match hosted in our Capital. More than the logistical or practical considerations, we should host the match in Manila given the symbolism attached to it, that hosting a match of our National team in our capital affirms that, finally, football is in the heart of the Philippines. But first, fix that gaddarn Stadium. or else, Panaad will always be a beautiful venue for the Azkals and its fans. True, this. Fix the darn stadium!

I would always choose Pana-ad over any other available stadium at the moment.
But then there are other things that mean Pana-ad is not the best for a particular game. I understand the call for Rizal to allow Manila to host a game. Rumors are that sponsors are falling over themselves to be part of the Sri Lanka game hosting. At the moment there is no confirmation as to where the game will be played. April 15 is supposed to be the day the venue will be announced. I suppose that is to give Rizal a chance to get their inspection sorted out. From the football purists point of view I would prefer to see the Sri Lanka game in Rizal. Everyone seems to think that the AZKALS will wipe the floor with the Sri Lankans so the game will not be all that exciting. Although that sort of talk has been the downfall of many a team who paid scant respect to the opposition. Then there will be the round 2 game against Kuwait. Ranked around 50 rungs higher than the AZKALS this game will be a test of the mettle of the AZKALS in their bid to move up the rankings. THIS IS THE GAME THAT I WANT TO SEE AND I WANT TO SEE IT IN PANA-AD. So Sri Lanka in Rizal is fine. The AZKALS v Kuwait at the KENNEL will be the BIGGEST game so far. The passion the atmosphere all the ingredients of a great time in Bacolod. FIRE THE BARK UP AZKALS.

Okay if its already confirmed for Rizal Coliseum but I hope Panaad will still be our main home field and majority of games still be held in Panaad. Visayas and Mindanao deserve this since they are the first one to love this game.
It does not mean ignoring Luzon or Manila, ofcourse there will still be games in Manila or Luzon but I hope majority of games, especially the important ones, will still be in Panaad or as long as it is in the Visayas and Mindanao regions.
Second there are allot of potential talents in those regions and this will encourage them to get better or possibly create a big professional league centered on Visayas and Mindanao. Face it guys the talents are in that region and the market. Third the facilities and location are better and has more potential for expansion and looks better than overcrowded, polluted, traffic and allot of eyesore in Manila.
Fourth the sports is very popular in these region which means football popularity will last longer and more profitable for government, private sectors, sports, and the people in this regions. And fifth, I dont want to be political but it cannot be avoided. Visayas and Mindanao are so overlook, I think it is time for them to get more attention internationaly to attract more investors and tourist which helps there economy.
When this regions achieve progress no need for migrating to Manila and blaming the population growth for poverty. The government are looking ways to alleviate property in this region. If they are wise, take advantage of this. Sports can help this regions to finally get attention.

Lights lang tlga ang problem sa Panaad.. the PFF needs to spend another 4M just to install the lights from Paglaum.. Right now, there are at least 4 private companies that are willing to sponsor the add-on renovation to RMS,,, hopefully these sponsors will also add some bucks to install additional lights to Panaad for future friendlies game of the azkals..
Pero I still choose RMS! lol ;D
