I hate long balls its less assurance in advanving position on our half. Imagine this, you bent it long going to your striker or your attacking midfilder what do you expect, he will be marked and chances is 1playrr against 2 defenders. Our defensive line having hard effort to take back position and just give the ball away for a long ball. its a waste effort. seen azkals did it here against singapore and tell you, you expect too much from our strikers and forwards to out muscle the centerbacks which they were trained not too. Better to employ patient passing like spanish style to moving as a group forward to our offensive halfline. Move as a unit to have greater number of feet to pass to and create chances. the u23 could have achieve this if it had more practice team... if all this preparation for the SEA Games started about 2 or 3 months ago problem is the game started training hard for the SEA games about 3 week ago and some the top players came just before the start of the SEA Games...

paano ba naging intent to attack yon eh,.,.,pinabibigay lang nila ang bola sa kalaban,.,.,long balls ng long balls.,.,eh wala namang kataotao. lols ayusin mo sagot mo ha cos you're verging close to accusing the boys of throwing the game away. those long balls were clearly attempts to make the forward player make the run for it. the problem with long balls has always been the accuracy. meaning not too long in order for it to be too far away that the opponent's gk gets to the ball first because obviously the ball is moving towards his direction than the intended receiver nor too short that a defender gets it instead of the intend receiver. tatalak ka pa eh when vimjonk's reply regarding you saying they weren't parking the bus in the 2nd half is sufficient enough to prove you were wrong. parking the bicycle pwede pa, pero parking the bus?what bus?baka colorum kamo yung bus na yun ha? THEY WEREN'T PARKING THE BUS IN THE 2ND HALF! period. peryod.tuldok. anong masama sa sagot ko,.,.,thats really what happen,.,.they play for defensive on the second half....ikaw ang nagbigay ng masamang meaning don,.,.and where part of the game you can say they are on the attacking intent....ayosin mo rin sagot mo,.,.

slayermoonlight hold your horses bro, actually i wasn't referring to you.. i even like your post because you gave your insights on how you saw the game and how you would want our team to play it and that's how forums are should be.. Constructive! I was speaking in general that we shouldn't expect too much from our team.. a team which has proved what so far? NONE yet! compared to other teams who have been joining competitions and have been making progress.. I was just empathizing with Bigfoot there because I know his son, JVB, is playing with the team and he too is with the team and reading some of the comments here, it can really be frustrating for him. I didn't say that we can't be "football managers" here because this site is mainly designed for that.. to have opinions on how our team should look like, how we should play it and all. To be football managers of our own... Heck i even have my own formation that i want. I want them to play 4-5-1.. with Carli(RB), JVB(CB), Basa(CB) and Leonora(LB) at the back. Matt hartman is really not effective as CB. Ott(AMF-R), Matt Hartmann(MF-R), JDJ(DMF) Porteria(MF-L), Christaens (AMF-L), and Jinggoy or Beloya as striker whoever is more creative.. Let's just hope that the coach addresses the weakness he saw during the last match and make up with it.. after all, he knows the players better than all of us. Good Luck Team Pilipins.. hehe

@ bigfoot....we are not really criticizing the team here but the coach decision making and adjustments during games....remember kuwait? we have players who are so tired but he never did some changes til the last 15 mi.....same as singapore.....the problem with the coach here is he don't trust that much his bench players....and he is just too slow in making changes during the game.( we were already massacred in the right flank but still he didn't do some adjustments?
*For those who are curious how really parking a bus looks like....just watch the game between the Azkals and Mongolia in panaad .
Go Pilipinas!!!!!!

Sometimes I feel bad that everyone has the right to express emotions. Some feelings are needed not to be expressed & some people don't need to be hurt.
But seriously we need these exchanges to learn different views and perspectives about certain things. Constructive criticisms are great though not literally great to many, but it's helpful, it's just that sometimes when we criticize someone it's as if he/she should act perfectly based on what we personally intend them to do things.
I mean, football and footballers in the country have improved a lot. Coaches and Experts are growing in numbers as well. And all that is because of these players that are playing for the country right now, all that because of these coaches that are guiding these players that are playing for the country right now. We celebrate if one of our flag carriers' score a goal and win, we praise the strikers name and all that. But when the team fails to win, it’s the coach’s fault, it’s the managers’ fault. Come on, times like this one, continues support to the whole team body is much important. You really guys think that Weiss and his company are stupid enough not to realize the team’s flaws in that game or the previous games? Seriously? You really think that as we speak now Weiss and his staff’s not burning up strategies to be used for the next opponents. I don’t know about that, but he’s not a national coach for nothing he’s been thru various clubs for maybe decades of experience. Im not a fan of him, I am also filled with questions about his way of deciding things but there’s less that we can do. What im tryin’a say is cut the crap, move on and save the lashes after the whole tourney ends cuz right now the lads are all pressured and what makes them at ease is our SUPPORT. Please.

YES, judging from his previous results and the latest results against Vietnam. Two different teams he handled, still the same results. Even if you will not watch the game, a simple overview of the game stats, you can easily discern that our left flank is ass-raped by the opponent. Why is he not doing anything? How would you explain that? Unless we would say that Weiss is best friend with other German coach and decided to drop the game so that the Vietnam coach would not get his ass fried. Then we would be slapped by Occam's razor. Never attribute to malice what can be attributed to plain stupidity. Not much are attacking/lashing the players here. Even Leonora, it's not his fault that he sucked so much on that side. The consensus here since the Singapore match is the coach is plain crappy. He doesn't have any tactical sense. Maybe the reason he was given for free by the DFB is because he can't find any coaching job in Germany. He can't even win a Sunday League game.

I've noticed that the "azkals match" threads are getting longer if we lose (maraming critics) and shorter if we wins (maboteng usapan)!
