how can i put pictures here ? or can i mail them to somebody who can put them here or somewhere else ? i know this is not the place for this, but most people are following this topic now more than any other one i was going around in jakarta today and was in the port-area where you also find squatters and surprise : selfmade football fields i was watching two games on for older ones and one by very young children who where just having fun together making 2 goals with their slippers ; Grassroots on his best some of them had shoes, others barefooted, there was also somebody working with a smaller group and teaching them things ; I took some shots of them and of the fields, just to show that you only need a bit of space to start and no complicated stuff like basketballrings and shoes and goals and lines etc; just get something round ( when i was young we also used beer cans if we could not find a ball) have we no reporters in jakarta covering the games ? looks like a nice article of interest for them and of interest for our grassroot program .

There's no cakewalk in Asian football anymore. That's why we really have to band together and get organized. Better systems from the grassroots all the way to the national level, let's keep improving.

i know close friends niyo ang mga nasa staff ng team o players etc etc ipa-abot niyo to sa kanila na the timor-leste they're going to face on monday have brazilian blood tulad sa situation ng fil-fors natin. that's most probably half-timorese half-brazilians. GK Emerson Cesario - SC Corinthian Jr DF Welington Rocha - Sao Bernando MF Antonio Marcos Sousa - Botafogo FC FW Alan Leandro - Vila Nova Jr DF Raul Isac - North Sunshine Eagles FW Jesse Pinto Free Agent Jesse Pinto is an Australian football (soccer) player who most recently played for the A-League club Newcastle Jets' youth team which he captained. He is currently a free agent. [1] He has Timorese roots from his mother and father.

the one who scored 2 goals for Timor-Leste is Murilo de Almeida. it was come from behind win as they were trailing 0-1 against brunei. timor-leste won 2 - 1 brunei. hindi pa siya listed sa u23 timor-leste wiki. most probably brazilian to or half-timorese half-brazilian. www.aseanfootball.org/?p=6587But there was no stopping Timor from clinching the equaliser in the 64th minute when off a free kick, de Almeida sets off a grounder to beat Brunei custodian Awangku Omar Salehudin. In the 72nd minute, de Almeida then gave Timor the lead for the first time in the match when he had made good on a cross from Pinheiro after beating the offside trap earlier. Two minutes to the end, de Almeida was presented with the chance for a hat-trick but he totally muffed his attempt with only the goalkeeper to beat. *** take not those two goals by De Almeida are just 8 minutes apart.

with the current games result from the other teams in group b, with the preparation of almost a month, im happy that the NT will have 6 pts........i still prefer to train local and to those fil-foreign to stay here for 5 to 6 months for training as a group.....
im still hoping that weiss have a strategic plan for the succeding matches and fulfill his promise of 10pts in the groupings....

I just watched the highlights of the match against Vietnam. I stopped the video a minute after the first goal because I don't want to get depressed but from what I saw, we have a good team! ...or at the very least, the PH team is no longer as big of a pushover as it was before. Maybe they just lost because of lack of pre-tournament preparation time. Also, like coach Weiss said, the team is more of an U20 team.

Travel-weary Azkals come to grief against superior Vietssports.inquirer.net/23135/travel-weary-azkals-come-to-grief-against-superior-viets
Let me share long and interesting comment on this article from a reader: Scallop/Scalper 1 hour agoThe Azkals senior team had been the focus of recruitment, training, and development for the past two years or so that's why they pulled off the surprise victories that made them the new darlings of the Philippine sports fans. However, the U23, U21, U19, and younger teams have just been organized within less than a year. This SEA Games is really the first real test of the U23 team since they were first assembled using both local and Fil-foreign players who were scouted less than three months ago. So why are a lot of outspoken fans here getting so hot and bothered why their first game is a loss against a much longer-prepared team like Vietnam? If Roland Mueller wasn't scouted and didn't turn out to be such a fantastic goalkeeper, the score would have been even more lopsided. Let's be thankful that their first game jitters is over with a loss that was heartbreaking but not really unexpected. Now the U23 players know the quality of the opposition they will face and can prepare themselves mentally and emotionally for it. It was obvious from the start that the mental and emotional conditioning of the Vietnamese team was much better than the raw recruits of the U23 Azkals. Now the Azkals will be able to use that "spanking" from Vietnam to fight more determinedly against the teams from Timor Leste, Laos, Myanmar, and Brunei Darussalam. Consider those next four games to be conditioning and training games so that the U23 Azkals can prove they can develop into a world-class team despite their lack of preparation time. They need to develop their cohesion fast so that when they reach the semifinals, they will not be massacred by the teams from Group A (Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, or Singapore). The Philippines has been given a lucky break and the best possible chance within this tournament. Let's hope the Azkals can learn, persevere, show their skill, and shine for national pride. Some people are advocating a team made up of pure-blooded Filipinos as if they automatically are better than the half-blooded Fil-Foreigners. The reason for this, they say is because the Fil-Foreigners just come in at the last hour to join up with the team where as the home-grown Filipinos can play together all the time. But the home-grown team players were also only recently selected and have only been undergoing training for perhaps a month or so after tryouts and selections were held. There is a disconnect here in the knowledge of these highly vocal critics. At this stage in the development of football, both types of players are needed. The home-grown pure-blooded players can provide the mainstay core of the various age-group teams that will hopefully play together for a long time to gain cohesiveness and consistency; but they may not be as skilled as someone who grew up playing football from age 7 onwards. This core group can be supplemented by talented half-blooded Fil-foreigners who learned how to play world-class football abroad in countries where that is the national passion and pastime (unlike in the Philippines; even in Barotac Nuevo, the kids have to work in the farms to support their families and can't play when they want). The foreign-based players will learn the international style of play from the Fil-foreigners (and the foreign coaches) while they provide the core manpower and team spirit to merge the Fil-foreigners with their various playing styles into a cohesive team. It won't happen overnight or even in just a few months. Each of the Azkals age-group teams need to be send on multiple training and competitive forays abroad to hone them into a fine-tuned instrument that will bring back medals. All that effort makes a large budget allocation which hopefully fans and the corporate sponsors will provide (forget about asking from the government--they have other priorities). Too many people are setting unrealistic expectations and/or prefer to blame the foreign coach or the Fil-Foreigners but they keep forgetting that there has not been enough time for this new team to grow or even learn how to play together yet. Let's be thankful that Dan Palami and the PFF are making the correct decisions so far to help develop the different teams and grassroots programs in the country now. The Philippines still doesn't have a big modern stadium that is optimized for televised coverage and for training world class players and for earning big profits from an excited audience. That will come in time if the right decisions continue to be made. Let's not rush it too much or throw too many brickbats in the face of the organizers, managers, coaches, and the players who are still trying to improve one day at a time. Stop the blame game, please.

LOL...
the Vietnam-Myanmar result proves my point(about the coach) more than all my postings/ramblings/justifications since the last Mongolia match in Panaad.
And Myanmar did it with 10 men.

LOL... the Vietnam-Myanmar result proves my point(about the coach) more than all my postings/ramblings/justifications since the last Mongolia match in Panaad. And Myanmar did it with 10 men. sinabi mo pa. plus granting we dispose off Laos, Brunei, and TL while Mya sweep its remaining games, we can no longer afford to draw Myanmar, we must win against them. While myanmar can only play defensive against us go for a draw and still qualify. umaasa lang kasi sa minnows. ayan minnows myanmar was able to stop vietnam kahit na they only had 10 men. now the minnows timor-leste bukas di na rin tayo makakasigurado kasi they are backed up by either naturalized or half-brazilian players. di natin alam gano kagaling mga yun. basta ang alam natin people in south america eat and live football. suddenly that lost 3 points or at least 1point against vietnam suddenly became so important.now isa-isahin natin mga rason na binibigay nila: 1. JET LAG daw - really? Jet lag results from rapid long-distance transmeridian (east–west or west–east) travel, as on a jet plane. eh those players who travelled that were performing well. even the LATE-COMER Manny Ott was the one who scored for us. JET LAG REASON DOESN'T CUT IT.2. Lack of preparation DAW - again really? tell that to the MYANMAR team who also faced VIETNAM. www.mmtimes.com/2011/sport/597/index.htmlThe groundwork was set when the Myanmar Football Federation nominated Swedish UEFA pro-license coach, Stefan Hansson, as the U-23 head coach on September 30.www.sunstar.com.ph/cebu/sports/2011/06/21/ph-u23-team-starts-training-today-162294PH U23 team starts training today By Cheska D. Geli Tuesday, June 21, 2011SO ANO YUNG PINAGSASABI NIYONG LACK OF PREPARATION? AS EARLY AS JUNE COMPLETE TEAM OR NOT, THEY ALREADY STARTED TRAINING. WHILE MYANMAR ONLY HAD 1 MONTH TO ADJUST TO THE NEW COACH'S SYSTEM, AKALA NIYO MADALI LANG GAWIN ANG ADJUSTMENT NA YAN? YET DESPITE THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO DRAW VIETNAM! VIETNAM WHO BEAT US BECAUSE ON THE 2ND HALF YOU CAN CLEARLY NO SENSE OF PLAYING DEFENSIVELY. THEY STILL WANTED TO ATTACK. AYAN TULOY SAYANG ANG PANALO SANA O DRAW MAN LANG. SO LACK OF PREPARATION ALSO DOESN'T CUT IT. BECAUSE MYANMAR WAS ABLE TO PERFORM BETTER AGAINST VIETNAM THAN US DESPITE HAVING ONLY 1 MONTH TO PREPARE FOR THE NEW COACH'S SYSTEM. Add to that that myanmar has to defend using only 10 men.
AS WE CAN SEE NUNG OKAY PA DEPENSA NG PLAYERS NATIN + MULLER, VIETNAM WASN'T ABLE TO SCORE. NUNG NON-EXISTENT NA DEPENSA NG ATING PLAYERS + KAHIT GAANO PA KAGALING SI MULLER/ETHERIDGE MAKAKASCORE TALAGA VIETNAM.
nasa isip kasi masyado na they were expected to lose against vietnam so okay lang manalo o matalo DAHIL ALAM MAY BACK-UP MINNOWS NA PAGKUKUNAN NG PUNTOS.

www.livestrong.com/article/438448-what-are-the-causes-of-a-lack-of-cohesion-in-teams/A team's cohesiveness is its ability to work together toward success. An effective team has players who use their talents to maximize the chances of a win, but the focus is not on individual success. Rather, the focus is on executing team strategies and plays. Many factors affect cohesiveness, so coaches should pay attention to the behavior of players to weed out negative influences.Ineffective CoachingPoor coaching can affect a team's cohesion. For example, if a coach favors certain players, the rest of the team may grow to resent those players, which can make them less likely to cooperate in plays that feature the favored players. Another problem arises if a coach focuses too much on developing individual player skills rather than cooperation among all players. An effective coach promotes team cohesion by encouraging teamwork, creating plays and strategies that involve everyone and making all the players feel as if they play important roles.Bad AttitudesA few players with negative attitudes can erode a team's ability to function as a cohesive unit. A play or strategy is only successful if players work together well. But if some players refuse to do their part, the cooperation will evaporate, making it difficult for a team to accomplish its goals. Disparate TalentIf the skill levels of different players vary, a team may have trouble maintaining cohesion. For example, if a star player is much better than others, it might breed resentment among other players. If less-skilled players don't get a chance to participate, they won't develop their skills. Whenever possible, players should participate in a league and on a team that has players of a similar skill level. ConsiderationsDeveloping individual skills is important, but an effective coach encourages players to maximize the chances of success by allowing every player to perform a role. One method for developing cooperation is to incorporate team-building exercises and group training into practices. Direct players to work together to achieve team goals. Discourage players from showcasing their talents at the expense of other players. References "Group Dynamics in Exercise and Sport Psychology: Contemporary Themes"; Mark Robert Beauchamp, Mark A.
