I hope Eteridge can make it to the 2nd game in Ulan Batur but for now its Doubtful as due to his commitment at Fulham. He is due to sign and negotiate for a new contract soon.
We may also miss another defender..Rob Gier who also runs a construction business that he maintains.
This Mean Sacapano will have to step up in Place of Etheridge.
I think was can win Game Two...Mongolia will attack more in Game two being a home game in front of they're supporters and plus they are the one's the need to beat us 3-0 so they will try to attack more than in the first game. Our Defense will need to be Solid....

'Azkals can beat Mongolia even without Etheridge'abs-cbnNEWS.com Posted at 02/11/2011 10:47 PM | Updated as of 02/11/2011 11:34 PM PH's Neil Etheridge guards the ball against a Burmese attacker during the 2010 Suzuki Cup. MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Azkals are confident they can beat the Mongolians in their home turf even without goal keeper Neil Etheridge, who might not suit up for the second leg of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup. “Judging by the Mongolian team, I don't think we'll miss Neil that much,” Phil Younghusband said. “The Mongolian team didn't have much shot on our goal… we can still win in Mongolia.” Younghusband and Emilio “Chieffy” Caligdong visited ABS-CBN on Friday for an interview with TV Patrol. They were accompanied by Younghusband’s elder brother, James. Younghusband said they have lots of players in reserve who can step up in the absence of Etheridge. “We have a lot of good players on the bench, we have Eduard Sacapano, who can come in and replace Neil and can do just as good at the job,” he said. The 6’3” Etheridge, who also plays as reserve goal keeper for Fulham Club, was able to rejoin the Azkals after the UK football club went on an “international break.” He, however, would have to return to Fulham while his team mates continue their Challenge Cup qualifying duel with Mongolia in Ulan Bator on March 15. Etheridge played along side the Azkals when they blasted the Mongolian Blue Wolves, 2-0, during their first encounter at the Panaad Stadium last Wednesday. The Filipino booters are currently on a break before they begin practicing again for their next game. “Pahinga muna kami,” said Caligdong. “Kasi pineprepare namin ‘yung practice namin sa Baguio.” Caligdong said the cold climate of Baguio will help them prepare for Mongolia’s sub-zero temperatures. “Para makaprepare kami sa klima ng Mongolia,” he said. When will Mark Schwarzer and Pascal Zuberbühler retire!
They are both on the age of 38 if they would retire this means Stockdale and Etheridge will be the only ones vying for #1 jersey at Fulham...

@dscpalami: A good career development for Azkals GK Neil Etheridge... Will be actively playing 1st gk in a competitive club.
He will stay with Charlton Athletic for a month on account of the injuries to the Addicks' 2 goal keepers. I guess we wont see him Myanmar for the Azkals.

It is also being reported that he won't be available by the Manila Standard that Neil along with Chris Greatwich and Rob Gier won't be available either for the Myanmar group stage. Time to call up Roland Muller.

While this is a good development for Neil he'll be sorely missed at the group stage. Sacapano's a good goalie though. It's going to be really interesting to see how far we've developed our attack under Weiss!

its our loss for now, but it'll be a huge gain in the end.
pero after reading the news that the PFF won't participate in AFC competitions, that just blows, kung puro ASEAN lang then teams won't be too quick to release players like him right? given that the lower ranked tournaments and games are just considered friendlies

Charlton lost last night 0-2 away at MKD... Neil was only on the bench with Worner manning the posts. It seems Charton is already out of contention for promotion
