Neil in bench as Charleton lost. Charleton GK is Ross Worner, a young one who just turned 21 and has only played in 6 games and 1 as a sub.
From ESPN: Leon Legge snatched an 89th-minute winner for Brentford at London rivals Charlton.
Lewis Grabban went close for the Bees early on with a low drive from the edge of the area which Addicks goalkeeper Ross Worner did well to tip behind for a corner.

Geez, Neil has far more experience than this guy, in my opinion.

Geez, Neil has far more experience than this guy, in my opinion. If you meant club appearances, then I disagree. Neil has played 0 games at club level (senior) while Ross Worner already has 9 caps to his name (1 as substitute). Closest Neil got was being called up as sub for Fulham while Schwarzer was away on international duty (Asian Cup). International experience-wise, I agree. Laki ng lamang ni Neil. Pero I guess Charlton manager won't take risk playing him based on a faraway international tournament of low-ranked teams.

After an injury to Rob Elliot, Philippines international goalkeeper Neil Etheridge arrived at The Valley on loan ahead of last Tuesday's match at Milton Keynes Dons. The 21-year-old was an unused substitute that night, and was also on the bench as Charlton lost 1-0 to Brentford at The Valley on Saturday. The shot-stopper was initially due to stay in SE7 until April 5th, but has now headed back to Craven Cottage due to injuries in the Fulham squad.

If he is needed to backup at Fulham, he probably won't be available for Myanmar then

Etheridge however is tweeting that he may be able to make it to Myanmar and is asking Palami to call him.
My guess is Fulham recalled him from Charlton as he was not getting any play time anyway and he will get more experience playing by joining the Azkals for some international competition.

I suppose Fulham would be a bit miffed that Neil wasn't even being used after providing Charlton with an emergency goalie. If Neil is still third GK then he's got a great chance to make it to Myanmar. If all that is the case then it looks like Fulham is really investing in Neil's development. Good for him! And us. But does anyone know the real reason? Any real statement out there?

I seem to have read somewhere that Stockton the Fulham backup was injured. Doesn't that mean Neil would be needed?

MANILA, Philippines – Filipino-British Azkals goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has been called back by Fulham from his loan spell at Charlton Athletic Football Club, a report said on Monday. According to Charlton Athletic's official website, Etheridge was recalled after he was an unused substitute for the Addicks for 2 consecutive game days. "Philippines international goalkeeper Neil Etheridge arrived at The Valley on loan ahead of last Tuesday's match at Milton Keynes Dons," the report said. "The 21-year-old was an unused substitute that night, and was also on the bench as Charlton lost 1-0 to Brentford at The Valley on Saturday." Etheridge is a reserve goalie at Fulham. The Filipino-British announced on his Twitter account last Tuesday that he has been loaned to Charlton. He was supposed to play for a month at Charlton, which is in a lower-tier league in England. Etheridge will not see action in the Azkals' AFC Challenge Cup match against the Mongolian Blue Wolves on Tuesday. Eduard Sacapaño took his place in the game to be held in Ulan Bator. www.abs-cbnnews.com/sports/03/14/11/fulham-recalls-etheridge-report

Check Fulham's home and away sked of games here: www.fulhamfc.com/home.aspxFulham's next game is against Everton on March 19. They will not play again until April 3 against Blackpool. It does appear that Etheridge will not miss any of the Cottager's games even if he flies off to Myanmar right after the Everton game and play for the Azkals from March 21 to 25. It'll be tight but with Fulham's permission I'm sure Palami and co. can arrange the flights, which probably explains Etheridge's recent request for Palami to call him asap.
