De Jong has been with the Azkals when they were zero... let's not judge him that quickly... baka naman exaggerated nanaman itong news na to... hope he gets his act together... Sayang talent niya...
Did his club stop him from playing in Myanmar or was it it choice not to join the team?

Exactly! Before you start judging him on character, before you start believing any stories like this, before you make any conclusions, remember that MOST of the stories in RP newspapers on the details of the Azkals DO NOT get the details right. Yes, I'm talking about you writers, in case you read these boards, who are shamelessly prone to errors, misquotes, and sensationalism. I'm not saying the story is wrong -- what I'm saying is DO NOT trust just one story.

Of course unless you were there personally in the room with the people involved to witness it. De Jong was there for nat'l team when nobody barely cared about them.. In my opinion, he is still young but plays futbol with a fire in his belly and conviction.. Sometime these writers madaling mapikon or easily turned off, if certain people does not want to give exclusive scoops about what's going on, so they write poop about them on their article. This might not be the case but it happens.. As far as De Jong playing for the Indo league, he wants to make a living just like most of us, the best way he knows how and that is futbol, cause none of us knows his financial situation and playing for the RP nat'l team is not that financially rewarding compared to others.. I think if anything De Jong needs, is someone to confide with and give him good advise, after all he still a young man. Don't hate on him, he contributed into making you more proud to be filipino and that is giving it all on the pitch for the nat'l team. What have you done for the country?

Not too long ago after the end of the Suzuki Cup, most everyone here was praising De Jong for his defensive tenacity at Defensive midfield. Now after playing 19 games for the Azkals since 2008, after showing some immaturity at the age of 21, some of you are now saying that he is not good enough and that he doesn't deserve to be on the team.
Should we then ban Anton del Rosario from the team as well, after he threw a fit, and disrespected Coach Weiss in the first game against Mongolia in Panaad, when he was subbed late in the game? I have seen this behavior many times in other teams both for club and country and it is certainly the coaches prerogative to punish the player if he continues to display such immature behavior. But he should be allowed to redeem himself in future games for his club and for the national team as well. After all De Jong has already shown his loyalty for the Azkals by turning down an invite by the Dutch u-19 team in order to play for the Philippine football and futsal teams.

De Jong maybe disappointed with his club for not letting him play in the pitch, so, let's not judge him. Like Neil Etheridge already in the first team in Fulham and on loan to Charlton Athletics last February to reinforce for their 2 injured GKs, he really wants to be in the goal post but he has patience.
Barumbado nga as some say but his' being toughie will be used when hell broke loose in the pitch but 'wag sana. If he was there in Myanmar playing against the Palestine for playing rough on Azkals, malamang may suntukan na

What a bunch of ingrates some fans are.
Were De Jong's actions wrong and stupid? Absolutely.
Does Weiss have a right to exclude De Jong from the team? Absolutely.
But let us not forget that the kid gave his all for us when he played. The one bad game that stands out was when he wasn't match fit against Mongolia at Panaad.
He clearly made a mistake when he stormed out of the stadium. But he is still young and can learn from this. And who said he "cares more about money"? Is there evidence of this? A club can refuse to release a player for international duty if they so decide.
De Jong has a lot of club and national team experience, do you really think he would have started a fistfight in the match against Palestine?

AFAIK, Jason never went into trouble in the past until the walk-out scene at Indonesia. He's a young professional, but as a human being, no one' is perfect,he can get carried away.

Well siguro nga ala Wayne Rooney lang sya sa tigas ng ulu, mainitin ang ulo and yabang. But I hope he shows some professionalism.
