I think Myanmar underestimated Bangladesh,
So let's not be complacent .. Coach weiss and the rest of the coaching staff must do something as to the right combi of talents on Friday.
Azkals rocks! on a freaky Friday.
what do you think guys is the best formation and talents to be used on Friday's game?

Back Four: Del Rosario ---- ?? ------ Borromeo ------ Jonnson J Younghusband-----S. Greatwich----J Lucena-----C Caligdong A Guirado (withdrawn striker) Yes: Yanti Barsales (if he's recovered in time) Subs: Tuason, Araneta, Gener Who else to put in central defense? With all due respect, Sabio looked shaky in the 2nd leg vs. Mongolia. Maybe have del Rosario play central defense and have Sabio play right back, where I think he played better during the 1st leg vs Mongolia? Haha I'm not good at this, don't even know who to replace Gier at the back.

4-1-2-1-2
GK: Etheridge DEF: Sabio, Anton, Aly, Jonsson CDM: S. Greatwich Wing: James Y, Caligdong CAM: Lucena FW: Guirado, Araneta
Subs: Tuason, Gener, Bersales
Let's capitalize on Guirado's height advantage for those headers. Involve Lucena in the offensive. Sub out Araneta ASAP if he loses composure (again), the problem with him is "nangigigil makascore" which affects his finishing.
Switch to 4-3-3 in case Bangladesh decides to turtle (although it's still unwise and risky for them to do it).

I'd go with a 4-4-2, Del Rosario, Greatwich, Borromeo, Jonsson Younghusband, Sabio, Lucena, Caligdong Aldeguer, Araneta
Sabio did well on the offense in Bacolod so i'd move him up. Anton is a monster on flank defense in the Suzuki Cup. I definitely miss Gier, De Jong, Chris Greatwich, and Phil Younghusband. I hope they'll all be available in June for the World Cup Qualys.

This is a must win game.. The 5 man midfield didn't click so 4-4-2 will be a better option.. Coach should field in the best attacking line up possible..

kihiao: I agree... And I must say... 37 years old is "old" for international football but Barsales is really proving to be "ageless" especially with his quickness. And Gener too!

Has nobody given a Bangladesh preview yet? Anyways I think we should win this one as the Bangladesh team is very young and consists mostly of their U- 23 team. This is my preferred formation footballformation.co.uk/team/442/230311201546.pngCompared to my previous formation, I have moved Angel Guirado forward instead of placing him as a withdrawn striker because of two reasons: 1. He is injured and apparently is not as mobile as he was in the first game 2. We need somebody to finish and the others have been found wanting so far. The other striker position is fluid and can be rotated bet. Barsales, Espinosa and Tuason. Araneta has a 9 game goalless streak. Somebody else should be given a chance. Myanmar owned Gener in the first game so I would rather try Sabio and see if he can contribute at right back. If Greatwich is not available, Tuason seems to be Weiss'es favored sub so I see him paired with Lucena at center mid although Hinricksen is a possibility if Weiss considers him good enough.

Do the Azkals have any left-footed players? Because I remember back when I was playing that my coach would put left-footed players in the left wing. I don't know if that makes any difference...
Anyway, I was just wondering.

May take on Bangladesh, and analysis...pls comment Bangladesh (Bengal Tigers)
Head Coach: Robert Rubcic (Croatian) Former Croatian player Previously managed Croatian football clubs until he signed with Bangladesh last Sept. 2010 He prefers fast playing with lot of running during the whole match, emphasizing on the technical aspects He said that the national team will from now on play 4-2-3-1 formation, which fits the team best. People had expected a lot from Robert but he couldn't stand up to the expectations of the people as Bangladesh crashed out of the Asian games loosing every game.
FIFA Ranking: 174
Key Players: FW Enamul Hoque, FW Mohamed Zahid Hossain Ameli
View Roster: here
Head to Head with RP: (1w-0D-0L) Goal difference: 3-2 (1984 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers)
Challenge Cup record:Best: Quarterfinals (3W-2D-4L) Goals: 11
Since 2008: (3W-1D-5L) Goals: 10, Goals Allowed: 16
Analysis: Team Theme --- "Out to prove" The Tigers are a veteran team in the Challenge cup but they have only reached the quarterfinals (but better than the RP). They are a pesky team, and play rough. The Azkals have a lot in stored for them by this Bangladesh Team. Their country recently is still at a high with a good showing in the cricket world cup, so they are hoping that the hype would rub on the team.
The Azkals will have a large frontline and I think our strikers are more skilled, and could easily penetrate their defense. Their goalie also seems to be not that good.
Prediction: Azkals 3-0 Bangladesh (Aldeguer, J. Younghusband) #4 in the group
